It was coming close to the end of the school day, and Gabriel was barely holding on. Most of his lessons were pretty mundane and monotonous; it all went downhill for him after his saga in maths. Despite eating his lunch and buying all the candy bars from the vending machine, he barely had the energy to stay awake. It was his last period, and thankfully it was his favourite subject; Art. Gabriel loved his art classes, it's the only lesson where he can be himself and get let go of all the problems troubling him. However, he found himself curled up on two chairs, taking a blissful nap with a content full grin on his face, his jacket acting as a blanket that's too small to cover his entire body. It was rare for him to sleep during class, it was unheard of. His teacher, Mr Knight, never really paid much attention to Gabriel, but not in a negative way. He knew not to disturb the young boy when he was working, as he never wanted to lose the train of thought and the journey of his creations; but taking a nap during his class was a journey he wasn't going to allow. His desk and Gabriel's desk weren't too close together, they were quite far away so Mr Knight did something that any logical teacher would do.

He had this little plush dinosaur with a flag that said "RAWR!" and Gabriel gave him that as a gift for being his best teacher. He leaned over his desk and grasped the plushie, and faced himself in the direction of Gabriel's desk. One thing Gabriel was never aware of, Mr Knight was apart of the javelin team when he was in college; so one simple throw of the toy and it perfectly landed on Gabriel's face, bouncing into his arms. He didn't throw the plush so hard that it would of woken Gabriel, but he wanted him to be comfy with the plush and sleep well. After all, his teacher was his only father figure, he looked up to his art teacher like he would of if he was his father.

"Sir he shouldn't be sleeping during class," spoke a sweet girl behind an easel. She had combat boots, ripped sea-blue jeans, a fandom shirt and a grey hoodie that had golden wings sewn into the back of it; the hoodie was clearly oversized. She had a fair complexion, and the reddest hair that fell beautifully with loose ringlets entangled with each other.

"Charlie relax, the boy has had a long day. Sometimes people just need to take a step back and rest up," he spoke with clear articulation and a projected voice. Charlie just huffed in annoyance and carried on with her portfolio work. She wouldn't normally be so agitated with her friend napping but he was her ride home that afternoon, and when Gabriel sleeps; he can never be woken. He remained asleep until the end of the day.

"Seriously Gabe?" Lucifer grumbled with annoyance, looking at a letter that was sent to him by Ms Smith. "I don't ask much of you, but these grades are terrible! You need to seriously consider your future here and how you're affecting it!". Both boys were sat at the dining table, facing each other. Lucifer was trying his best to speak to Gabriel but he was too lost in his doodle. The only responses he got from Gabriel was a few hums and a nod, but he knew that Gabriel had no idea what was going on. "I'm getting you a tutor,"

"Excuse me come again?" Gabriel jerked up to meet Lucifer's stern look. He couldn't exactly believe what he had said. "A tutor?" He chuckled. "You honestly believe some boring ass person will teach me some useless crap I won't ever use in life?"

"I never said it was a 'boring ass person' Gabe, you are going to be studying with your step brother twice a week and you'll be staying at his house during the summer," Lucifer picked up his coffee and sipped it slowly, watching Gabriel's face change from confusion to anger.

"Castiel?! Luci you've got a few loose screws up there! I'm not studying with that jackass," he began to throw a fit about the whole ordeal, Lucifer barely reacting to the disagreement. "I'd rather not see Castiel or any of that 'family'. I would rather be burnt alive than spend a minute in that house!"

Before Gabriel could continue on with his rant, Lucifer put down his mug and sighed. "Castiel has moved out Gabriel, he lives closer to us than he does to them. I've contacted him and he said he'd be fine to tutor you, plus it'd be quality bonding time," he tried to make the situation more lighthearted, but Gabriel wasn't having it. "Unless you can find someone better, you're stuck with him. It's free, so shut your trap and stop complaining."

"Now remember Gabe, no stabbing, no fighting, no killing, no poisoning, no slaughtering, no form of death is to come to Castiel when he is looking after you alright? Just," he paused, looking at Gabriel who was sulking in the passenger seat of Lucifer's car. "Please, try and get along," he placed his hand on his brother's shoulder, hoping for a response. Gabriel simply ignored him and got out of the car.

He walked up to the patio and climbed the stairs, approaching the front door. It was a beautiful baby blue colour yet it looked aged, the wood had began to crack slightly, exposing it's deep brown colour underneath. He sighed, pressing the door bell and hearing it echo through the house. He could hear some talking from inside the house, and it sounded like there were multiple people within the confined walls. The door opened. Gabriel's eyes widen with surprise.

"You're the dude who touched my car," Gabriel joked through a whisper. The brown haired boy he had encountered on Tuesday was at his step-brother's house. Well that was interesting to say the least.

"Oh? Are you lost or something?" The boy had asked, not fully sure why Gabriel was standing at the door. He turned into the house. "Cas, there's someone at the door,"

"If it's the problematic kid, let him in," Gabriel could hear from inside the house, slightly offended. The boy let Gabe inside and showed him into the main room.

"First off, I'm not problematic. Secondly, if you aren't going to help me I'll happily go somewhere. I'm sure there are plenty of other places around here that are far more interesting than this place," Gabriel spat. He wasn't happy at all to be in this pretty house. On the couch sat a dark haired boy with oceanic blue eyes, next to him a boy with light brown hair and murky eyes. They both seemed close. But it didn't explain why that mysterious car touching boy was in his step-brother's house? Are they related? I mean it'd be awkward for Gabriel since he found the boy cute in someways.

"You know Sam, don't you Gabriel?" Castiel spoke softly, gesturing to the boy who greeted him at the door. "You two seem to get along pretty well, don't you agree?" Gabriel felt uncomfortable by the way Castiel was speaking to him, meeting his gaze. He felt powerless, that Castiel was silently taking over him despite just acting calmly. Though Castiel didn't get a response from Gabriel, he smiled. "Sammy here told me quite a bit about you. You haven't changed much since I last encountered you. Academically inept, distant, strange and a little rebel boy. Even your attitude has remained the same, problematic and dull," Gabriel clenched his fists, beginning to get worked up. Castiel paused for a moment. "I will help you but I expect you to put effort in as well. I have the brains out of the family, you have the intelligence of a walnut. But that can change,".
