Chapter 26 Wait! Don't leave!

"We were right, it is Alexa."

"Why would she free Mikael?"

"Revenge? Perhaps she wants revenge on us for turning her back when we were here visiting in the 1800s."

"That could be possible, but she's in Europe right now, and we hid Mikael in the U.S." Kol thought for a moment before glancing at Bonnie, "Would you be able to do a spell that lets us see what happened here?"

"Mhmm. I just need a few minutes."

Kol nodded and then looked at Klaus and me, "I will stay here with Bonnie while she does the spell. You guys go check out the town."

Klaus nodded, "Come on Caroline." He said walking up the steps.

"I'm coming!" I said sighing. 

"Good luck Bon."

She nodded then I used my vampire speed to get to Klaus' car.

Klaus' p.o.v

"Where are we going to go now?" Caroline said as we walked back to my car.

"I'm going to check all the bars around here..." I looked at Caroline.

"If there's one place Alexa would be at this time it would be a bar. She's an alcoholic just like her brother."I said chuckling softly.

"Ok, how about we checkout the grill first? If we don't find her then we can check all the other bars in the area. Right?"

I nod as a reply while opening the car door for Caroline before going around to the driver seat and starting the car.

We ride in silence for a few minutes before finally arriving at the grill, I look at Caroline, then my phone.

I quickly text Kol telling him to update me on how Bonnie's spell goes before taking a deep breath and walking inside.

At the bar, Alexa's p.o.v

(Half an hour before Klaus and Caroline arrive)

I check myself out in a mirror before leaving my apartment to head to the nearest bar or club in town.

I thought about visiting my brothers but I quickly dismiss that thought reminding myself that they didn't know I exist and they probably wouldn't care.

As soon as I arrive at the bar I check my makeup in the car mirror before getting out of my car. I look at the neon sign above my head, "Mystic Grill".

Interesting name for a bar. I shrug before walking up to the doors. I throw open the doors before strutting up to the bar making sure my heels click on the floor loudly as I pass by everyone attracting their attention.

When I get to the counter I order a shot of tequila, requesting to keep the bottle knowing I will drink the whole thing within half an hour. I sit at the bar for a while thinking about everything. My hand moves towards my neck where I have my Salvatore necklace, it's a habit to play with it, before I realize I don't have it on anymore. Shit. I must have left it in the tomb or my apartment. Ughh.

I was almost finished with that bottle of tequila before I hear someone walking in. The scent is familiar but I can't remember who it is until I hear a deep voice with a familiar british accent.

Shit! It's Klaus, he's no doubt here to kill me for releasing his father from his prison, but he might not know about that... yet...

Finishing the bottle I slowly get up to leave but a strong hand grabs my arm, stopping me.

I look up to see Klaus. Just as I expected. I glare at him, "Let go of my arm."

He looks thoughtful for a moment, "How about no?"

"Klaus. Let her go, we're here to peacefully have a conversation with her."

He looks at the little blonde girl next to him before sighing, "Ok fine."

I quickly figured that the girl must be his girlfriend or something because he would never let someone tell him what to do.

I start to walk away before I hear the blonde talk to me, "Wait! Don't leave!"

I turn around and raise an eyebrow, waiting for her to explain.

She holds up a necklace, "Is this yours?"

It's my Salvatore necklace. "Give me it!" I demand holding out my hand.

"I will if you step outside with us so we can have a little chat."

I think about it for a minute. I could kill her and get it back but most likely if I do Klaus would kill me.

"Fine. But give it to me first."

She looks like she's about to protest before looking at Klaus who nods, she drops the necklace in my hand and gestures for me to follow her outside.

I quickly put the necklace on before following her.
