The king married his final wife, Katherine Parr. Katherine adored his two youngest children especially Elizabeth. Giving her attention and love that she had been deprived of for so long from both her parents. ( her mother being dead and her father giving all his love and attention on Mary and Edward)

The betrothal of Princess Elizabeth of England and Prince Charles of France happened. It was decided that when the princess is 14 the prince will come to England and be invested as the Duke of Richmond and marry when she is 15. His older brother Francis was married happily to Princess Anne of Denmark and Norway and had two children already. Another Prince Francis and Princess Elisabeth.
