"Lydia are you coming to Aaron's party tonight?" My best friend Maria asks me as we get into my car driving away from the school that we go to that we won't be seeing for 2 weeks as we have an Easter break.
" umm I'm not sure my mums out of town for work and I've got a lot to do" I tell Maria " you have two weeks to do that. have a fun night there will be alcohol and it's at Aaron's house so it's fine for us to drink'Maria replies "So do you want to stay at mine tonight seeing as I will be alone and intoxicated"I ask her. Maria nods her head becoming excited about tonight. I drop Maria off at her house which is 3 doors down from mine. Before opening the car door Maria says "I'm going to go and have a shower then I will FaceTime you so we can discuss makeup hair and outfits as we trying to look like a 10 tonight seeing as we are both single and there's Finna be some fine boys there" I laugh at her but agree to what she is saying I wave goodbye to her before driving to my house and going up to my room taking a quick shower
Maria is my best friend and has been since we met at the age of 4. Maria has dark brown hair that goes down to just past her shoulders she also has dark brown eyes and has tanned skin like me her mum is Portuguese and her dad is American while my dad is Spanish and my mum is British I have long dark brown hair that goes down to just below my waist and I surprisingly have blue eyes I guess I got them from my mum. We have both lived in Louisiana for our whole life but I moved house when I was four which is how I met Maria she's like the sister I never had seeing as I'm an only child Maria however has a brother a year older than us called hunter who is like a brother to me Maria and hunter get on really well and hardly ever fight. hunter is probably the reason we are going to Aaron's party as they are close. I speak to Aaron and his friends but not a lot.
I soon get out of the shower having done everything I needed to.i apply my favourite peach scented moisturiser and wrap my hair in a towel after putting on a oversized t-shirt . I walk back into my room and as if on que Maria name popped up on my phone saying she wanted to FaceTime i quickly answered and sat on the chair in front of my vanity propping my phone against my mirror "Hello" she greets me "Hey" I say waving "The party starts at 8 so we should start getting ready now so we can chill also hunter is going to take us because Aaron said he can keep his car there until tomorrow "maria tells me "Okay I'm not sure what to do should I go all out party like curled hair full face and a dress" i say "Yes of course, I am and we gotta be looking hot" she says gaining a laugh from me. "Alright, what time should I come over" I ask "Umm get to mine for 7 so we can have pre-drinks and then leave" I nod saying see u then and hang up so We can both get ready. I start with make up applying primer foundation concealer powder bronzer eyeshadow eyebrows and false eyelashes this takes me an hour which leaves an hour and a half before I need to leave I move on to my hair. i take it out if the towel and blow dry it then curl it. after i curl my hair i run my fingers through it loosening the curs then applying hair spray after my hair is finish i look in the mirror feeling proud of my self for putting this much effort in. I head towards my wardrobe and pick out a dress i got a couple of weeks ago when i went shopping with Maria knowing it would be good as she approved of it. I put it on and put on matching heels and some jewellery.

I look my phone realising i had 20 minuets until it was 7. I take my phone off of charge and grab my purse as i head down the stairs grabbing my keys and leaving my house locking the door behind me. I then put my keys in my purse and walk to marias. I soon arrive at her house and knock on the door. The door opens revealing hunter with black distressed skinny jeans and a grey t shirt "you look stunning lydia"hunter says after hugging me "Thank you and i Could say the same about you" i say walking inti the house when i hear maria coming down the stairs "Damnnn mami" she says as she sees me causing all of us to laugh. "Now you look perfect" i say to her. "Right enough of that lets do some shots. sorry hunter your driving" she says dragging me into the kitchen pulling out two shot glasses and a bottle of tequila we do five shots of which goes straight to my head. she then makes us both a tequila sunrise for while we wait. Time flew by and it was soon quartar past 8. "Right guys are you two ready" hunter says walking towards the front door "We have been waiting so long lydia is already drunk" i gasp and hit her arm playfully. "No i am not" i say pushing my self off the couch standing up trying my best not to lose balance i put my hand out for maria she grabs it and wobbles as she gets onto her feet. "I think we know who the drunk one is" i giggle and so does she admitting she might be a bit tips. Our eyes meet and we both shout "to the party" running towards hunters car laughing at each other. As we get in the car she grabs the aux chord and starts to play our jams which she knows will get us both in the part of mood.
