In the Spring Yard Zone, she hit two spike balls, both of which Sonic now screamed in pain, the second one louder than the first.
"Stop this." pleaded Sonic, as the "cut" was now a gash almost the size of his stomach.
He no longer ran, and fast-walked, as they both still wanted the zones to end quickly.
After that zone, the next, Labyrinth Zone, was harder. She, luckily, avoided drowning Sonic, but Sonic got damage from a fire-breathing statue, which burned him severely. He screamed louder. So, although he couldn't swim, the water was, fortunately for him, cold enough to numb the wound, and there was a short enough platform for him to stand on without drowning. After he finished resting, Josephine then finished that zone.
The next zone, Star Light zone, took it easier on him. Although he did have to jump over the enemies, and avoid mines and bomb bots, he got to the end without any damage from that zone. Though, to be honest, he was VERY tired and frail, and could barely jump. The rings only weighed him down, and each one made him jump just a bit less high.
"Alright. Second to last zone: Scrap Brain Zone. I have to finish this game." she stated, filled with determination.
"Sonic, if you can hear me..." she said, "...please drop all but one ring. All those rings are weighing you down, and it'll hurt you more."
Sonic did not.
"Sonic?" she asked.
"I can't." Sonic said bluntly. "I wish I could, and I already would've, but I just can't."
"Oh. Are you sure there's any way to-"
"No." Sonic interrupted. "I'm sure of it. Stop hurting me, stop talking to me, and let's finish this." he said angrily.
"Alright, alright." Josephine said, annoyed. "I'm sorry I asked."
She fast-walked Sonic to the middle-end of the zone, when suddenly she had jumped into an electricity machine!
Sonic was zapped in the air, and was stuck there. His body shook, and his eyes slowly rolled back into his head. When the electricity stopped, Sonic had passed out, yet somehow, miraculously, survived.
Doctor Robotnik has not been seen yet, and this made Josephine ponder as to what happened. Had he decided to get the job done quicker, or was he just being a coward?
Josephine did not know.
Either ways, she kept calling Sonic's name, hoping he would wake up, and still be able to move forward into the zone.
He did, however, he could barely walk. He had a gait, and his wounds were now a little bigger than his stomach. He was a lot paler than before, now being a dark baby blue.
"Sonic! Can you hear me? Are you alright?"
Sonic did not respond.
He only moved forward with a blank stare.
Eventually, they finished that zone.
"Ok, Sonic! I know you can hear me. It's almost over. We're almost done. Just keep going, and you'll be done, I promise."
He turned his head towards Josephine, as if he could see her right through the screen. He then made a small, weak smile. He tried giving a thumbs-up, but he was far too tired, so he just looked forward again, and kept limping along.
They had made it to the final battle with Dr. Robotnik. However, he was not there. Only the Chaos Emeralds and a pile of rings. Rings that actually could heal, this time.
"Sweet! We don't have to fight, you get healed, and we get the Chaos Emeralds!" exclaimed a happy Josephine.
"Heh. That's right. Keep on cheering." Sonic whispered smugly.
"You have no idea what I've had to go through because of you. You're lucky he wasn't here, or I would have died." he began, much louder than before.
"Thanks for playing!" Sonic yelled, "Thanks for playing?! Thanks for almost killing me, that's what!"
He started to walk closer to the screen, as if he was on camera, and Josephine was watching ALL of this.
"You are Dr. Robotnik in this situation, are you?! No wonder he's not here! You ARE the Doctor!"
Sonic started to laugh maniacally, as if he'd went through pure torture, only to find out that living through all that with the determination to live... was useless.
"Well..." Sonic said quieter this time, "Let's see what the big bad doctor would do if I just happened to go through this screen!" he screamed.
Josephine sprinted out of the room, and soon after the house as the TV screen cracked and Sonic came through.
Sonic started to flicker. There were two versions. His regular self, and himself with a black eye white, and red dots for eyes. Blood was dripping down his cheeks, and he had lots of blood on his gloved hands.
"Hee hee hee! Don't call me Sonic anymore! Call me Sonic.exe! New and improved!" he yelled with an insanely large grin. "Oh! You want to play hide and seek, do you? Okay! But just remember...
You're...
too...
slow!"
End
Epilogue:
Sonic.exe had killed Josephine.
After the murder, Sonic.exe was never seen again, and Josephine's body was never found.
Old author's note from when I first wrote this:
Hello! I hope you liked my story, and I also hope you hated it. I tried keeping the Sonic.exe idea in there, as it is an improved Sonic.exe story. Most of the time I forgot I was writing a Sonic.exe creepypasta, and was mostly just writing one of my own.
I was going to shorten Josephine's name to Josie, but I didn't, because that name always reminds me of Josie and the Pussycats.
I tried writing it as a serious creepypasta, with reasons and details put in to explain the validity of the situation. For example, Josephine didn't leave the room, demand a refund, or reset the game when the game started getting strange, because she was curious as to what would happen next. However, I do not take this story too seriously, and I actually hope it was at least a little cringey. Thank you for reading all this way, and I hope you weren't bored. Goodbye!
