I Declare Hope

Life isn't fair. We have to deal with unwanted circumstances, mistakes, and other things that may bring us down. We may feel worthless, we may think to ourselves "Why was I put on this planet?" In the end, we all know that life is like a roller coaster. It has its ups and downs, for some there may be more bumps.

We have all dealt with sadness, we have dealt with anger, and we have dealt with emotions. Our emotions are one of the strongest things that controls our minds and our hearts. Our emotions is what makes us human (as well as other biological factors).

The people of the past looked up at the night sky and stared at the stars. Many of them thought it was impossible to reach the stars or even the moon. One day, a bold man declared that he wanted his country to visit the moon, his name was John F. Kennedy. Kennedy said "We choose to go to the Moon in this decade and do the other things, not because they are easy, but because they are hard." Kennedy had a vision, a vision that the United States would go to the moon. Laster on, his vision became reality, Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin walked on the moon.

"Why are you talking about space and the moon?" You may be asking. Well, it is to show you, that dreams and visions can become reality. With hard work, effort, determination, courage, and faith; you can make those dreams and visions become a reality just as Kennedy did.

"But, I'm worthless... I have no goals..." You may be saying to yourself. Then set a goal, think of something that makes you happy. Look to all the people who have become successful such as Elon Musk or Bill Gates. They all started from scratch and built empires. You see, it's a matter of stamina and bravery to get through life. There may be obstacles and people who say we can't do it, that we can't achieve our goals. They may say that our goals are impossible and that it will never happen. Treat the word impossible as nothing but motivation to prove them wrong. If your goal is true to your heart, if your goal has good intentions, if your goal will satisfy you morally and/or spiritually, it is possible.

"We are never defeated unless we give up on God" - Ronald Reagan. For those of you who are not religious, never ever give up on your dreams of success. Defeat is never a reality until you make it one. If you truly desire your goal, you would fight to the end of times in order to achieve that goal. You will continuously try until it is yours. "But what if I fail?" You may be asking. Try again; real success isn't just handed to you, rather you must work for it. Failure is a major part of the road to success, some may see it and some may not. When you fail, you may feel down or degraded. Don't let that failure get to your head, look at that failure and strive to do better. Keep working until you manage to succeed.

Don't think like the victim, if you think like you are the victim of society or any person, you are only hurting yourself. Dwelling on the past, negativity, and failures will only hold you back. Look to the past and make a change, apply yourself fully and become tomorrow's success.

You will face many obstacles when achieving your goals, you will triumph over them in the end. Make your fight righteous and true to the heart, never give up. Did the founding fathers give up on America? Did Lincoln give up to the south? Did Churchill give up at Dunkirk? Did the pilgrims give up on finding the New World? No, they fought and gave it their all. That is what you should do, think about your goal and say that you can do it. Don't let others discourage you, don't let others plant seeds of doubt into your mind.

Look at the innovators of the past such as Thomas Edison, think of him and say that you can be just like him. You can make a difference, you can change the world for the better. You all were put on this planet to do great things, to help one another, and to love. Let's start right now, together. If we all start working hard towards our goals and never give up, we can make the world a better place...
