The Attempt <<Angst>>

A/N: Suicide is not a joke. If you need help, please get it! Also, this is my trigger warning/first one shot. Enjoy!

John stared at the water below him at the bridge. A million thoughts, dreams, and nightmares flashed in his mind. Would this really be it? Nobody would probably even notice he was gone, he was a terrible boyfriend anyways. And a terrible friend. He wasn't well known outside of his friend group, and well, nobody really caught on to his suicidal traits.. so. He remembered back to the note he left for Alex, it didn't sound like him if he was leaving normally.. it didn't promise he would be home. It didn't even say when he left. He was just gone.. John sighed after thinking all of this, rubbing his head and holding on the the rail as he climbed over it, staring at what would soon be his death.

Did he want this? Yes, he did.. sure he would hurt Alex, but.. He had too many mental breakdowns and.. that's all the thoughts it took until he broke down crying again and sat on the ledge, not wanting to just jump in.

Alexander started to wonder where John went. He had been acting strange lately, when he saw a note, the tv on the news, his eyes widening. He bolted to the bridge, only to find his lover at the edge.

John looked over, "A-alex?.. I- I'm s-sorry.." He mumbled, looking at his boyfriend who was standing there in shock. Alex then ran over as he tried to shove himself off- only to find his hand had been caught. "A-alex, l-let m-me g-go! T-there's m-more o-out t-there!" Instead I got pulled up, and wrapping a pair of arms.

Alex felt his heart break, was this hid fault? Everyone he loved had died- was John just going to be another? Did John want to leave him? He brushed the thoughts off as he found himself hugging a sobbing, John, saying 'I'm sorry' repeatedly. He felt a new meaning for John, as if this had pulled them closer...
