Rising Dragon

Chapter 1

My name is Satou Reigen and I am a 17 year old Japanese highschool student in Tokyo, my appearance is what you would call above average, silky black hair that ends on my upper shoulder, sharp black eyes eyebrows that are slanted sharply up, a sharp nose and an oblong shaped face and a slightly pointy chin. My body has a slim build with firm muscle's, I'm a bit short at about 175 cm. With my face and body like this it makes me look like a woman, but this is the face and body I got from my mother so I ain't complaining about it. I'm currently on my way to school, after 15 minutes I can already see the gates, after stepping through the gates many students cast their gaze at me and i hear people murmuring stuff like:

"Hey isn't that Satou-senpai I heard he won another martial arts competition last week ".

"Yeah I heard about it too from my brother who watched Satou-senpai's competition he said that Satou-senpai easily won every match without breaking a sweat".

"Yo good morning Reigen, looks like you won another competition eh, strong as always hahaha".

I answered "Hey guys thanks for watching last week, being cheered by my friends gives me strength so of course I'd win".

"Hahaha being humble as always, you won your matches because your a strong man be more proud of your self". They answered 

"Thanks guys I'm lucky having friends like all of you". I answered backed. The school bell suddenly rang indicating the start of class, me and my friends hurried over our homeroom.

When I took my seat my seat mate suddenly congratulated me "Congratulations on winning another competition Satou-kun".

The one who congratulated me was a female friend of mine Sakagami Rin, a natural born genius in all academic subjects, she was the only girl who mostly only talks to me, I don't now why but every girls I talked to in our class will always shout/turn red and avert their eyes from me, I really don't understand them

(Reigen just didn't realized that they do that because they admired him so they became a little nervous when talking to him, some of them even have a crush on him including his friend Sakagami Rin but he is just too dense)

"Ah thanks Rin". I continued with arranging my things on my desk then asked Rin a question I've been meaning to ask for a week now.

"Hey Rin you told me that you've been studying molecular structure manipulation ".

"Yes Satou-kun I've been studying it for a week now and i've discovered a few amazing things, for example". I stop Rin from continuing cause I know I won't understand any thing she would have said. "Okay stop Rin, you do know that i know nothing about what your saying right?"

Rin answered  "It's not like you wouldn't understand it Satou-kun after all your grades are not bad right, you're third in our class rankings after all".

"Come on Rin I'm not that good in theories and scientific stuff you know that right". I answered

"Even though you're so strong and studied martial arts you're still good in you're studies, your already amazing huh". she said

(It's not just martial arts but swordsmanship too) I thought to my self.

Rrriiinnnng rrrriiiinnnnngg (Huh time sure went by fast it's already time to go home) I thought

"Satou-kun want to go home together" Rin asked "Sure" I agreed  "Okey let's go Satou-kun" Rin said

The two of us walked side by side while saying bye to our classmates, we got out of the school gates and made our way home. Because Rin's house and my home are close to each other's we walked in the same direction together. We were almost passed the convenient store when we heard a girl's scream.

"Kyaahh help me please hel gubh". We look towards the direction of the scream and saw a 12 year old girl being caught by 5 black clothed men, the first thing I did is observe the situation. I saw people panicking as the men try to take hold of the girl, I did not want bad things to happen to the young girl so I immediately made a decision to save the girl. After all whats the use of training if I won't use it.

"Rin hide behind the concrete post and don't show yourself alright".  "Wait ! Satou-kun what are you gonna do!?" Rin worriedly ask

I immediately answered "I'm going to save the child so stay back". Without hearing Rin's answer i run to the child and the black clothed men immediately.

"What are you here brat, if you don't want to die leave now". One of the men said

I did not care about their words and immediately used "Flash Step" to appear in front of the man who is trying to hold the resisting child. I took hold of the man's right arm and twisted it on his back, using my other hand I took the child from the man's grasp and used a sweeping kick  to knock his head to the asphalt road to make him unconscious. I used "Flash Step " to get back were Rin is hiding and told her "Take the child and run fast, call the police too I'll take care of the men here so go NOW!!"

"Wait! Reigen you better be safe when I come back alright, I won't forgive you if I can never see you okay, please be careful "Rin said worriedly. I patted her head and smiled, when I was about to fight again the child grasped my sleeve and said while sobbing "Onii-san ple-please come back hic-sa-safe please hic-hic I I haven't hic-thank you - urgh yet"

I patted the little girl head and smiled before making a thumb's up gesture in my left hand without saying anything I immediately turned around and fought in my current battlefield the same before I immediately used " Flash Step " to appear in front of a man on the left side and made my hand into a black hand and slashed at the man's throat having him die just like that. I heard guns being fired, I used "Flash Step" to run to the guy with a gun.I side-stepped with minimal movement to dodge the bullet and got to his back and twisted his arm with the gun in it to point it to the other armed men and fired it continually at every black man.

 The man I used as a shield already died so only one remains I instantly appeared in front of him again and killed him with a cut throat using my blade hand. When the fight was over I saw the police coming over and I saw Rin and the child with them so was I was relieved that they were safe, but what I did not know was that a sixth black clothed man hiding behind a black van using a sniper rifle aiming at the child. I was close to them when I heard the gunshot, because of my high-speed processing and reflexes I immediately appeared in front of the girl and got shot in the heart. My vision suddenly blurred and I hear gun shots from beside me. As I heard a body limply and fall down as my body falls backward

I hear Rin and the child's crying voice beside me as blood flows out of my mouth "Reigen!! hic-Reigeenn!!! No! don't die on me I still haven't said something important hic-sob-hic to you Reiiggeeennnn!!!". I hear Rin's crying voice beside me and it makes my heart feel more pain than this damn bullet wound.

"Onii-chan No!! You promise come back same hic-hic-sob no Onii-san No!!!!arrdhhic-sob-hic no! No!! hic--hichic".

I also hears the child's heart reching cry (I'm sorry you two I couldn't fulfill the promise)

"REIGEN I always loved you but I couldn't tell you!! I didn't want you to leave me -hic-a-sob-hic  don't leave me".

I clearly heard Rin's voice full of sorrow and love but I can only touched her cheek with my now weak hand and smile weakly. I pushed my limit to say four words clearly as my eyes lose their lights "I - LOVE - YOU - RIN" my vision then turned black I can feel their tears as I blank out

3rd P.O.V.

"That day news of a heroic highschool student saving a child from kidnappers came on the news, posted on the net. and news papers to be known to the whole nation pushed the economy to improved be caused of new laws created for more national safety and recognition for the young hero".

"After 5 years a young scientist with her genius junior were able to discover the secrets of molecular structure manipulation providing new theories, advancement, discoveries and hope for humanity. The discoverer's for this new advancement are the friend and saved child of the young hero 5 years ago, Professor. Sakagami Rin and Assistant. Akiko Aria. Now will the nation even be a crime free country and even have meteorological rise in technological advancements is because of this young hero "Satou Reigen".
