I sprang out of bed letting out a huge yawn. The sun's ray was penetrating my window filling my room with warmth and light. I stretched and smiled. I had a hunch that today was going to be an amazing day! For today is my brother's championship for the annual soccer competition here in our town. Finally it's his time to shine and I'm going to be there to support him all the way.

I decided to get ready, opening my closet and taking my usual clothes. A yellow sundress with a cool vest to top it off and some socks is all I need. After that I jumped in the shower and brushed my beautiful pearly whites then wore the clothes I picked out.

I stuffed a bunch of things inside the green bag Uncle Tom gave me last Christmas. I have to be ready just in case something unexpected happens at least that's what my mom would say.

I left my room and rushed downstairs to see my lovely parents. My dad was relentlessly flirting with my mom trying to catch a kiss, yucky, but as the typical Tsundere my mother was she deflected my dad's playful love with snarky insults.

My dad noticed me watching them and he beamed at me and laughed. "Didn't see you there sweetheart".

I rolled my eyes and smiled back. "Good morning mom and dad," I greeted them.

Mom gestured for me to sit beside her and I did. She gave me a big warm hug and my dad joined in too. My family is all I need and is all I have. I am homeschooled so I'm usually cooped up in this house especially that both my parents have work. My brother has actual school and he can go out and stuff, but I can't. My parents won't let me. Even though I'm usually stuck here my parents would try their best to, well, show me the outside world.

My brother hopped downstairs and had this ecstatic grin on his face. Anyone-- even the blind could clearly see that he was excited.

"Morning!" he squeaked like a happy little mouse.

"You seem really excited, kiddo," my dad said.

Donn chuckled and beamed at us. "Come on I don't want to be late!" he ran to the dining area and took a seat. We did the same being amused by the meal laid out for us. Pancakes that were stacked into threes and omelets with berries and orange juice on the side. It looked heavenly!

"Dad I think you overdid yourself just a little bit," I told my dad while I stuff my mouth with pancakes.

Unusual may it seem, but my dad does all the cooking and he's so good at it. My mom on the other hand isn't that great with cooking.

"Of course sweetheart. Today's a special day and special days require special measures," he replied taking a quick sip from the glass.

Donn seemed overwhelmed by the huge serving but wasn't overwhelmed enough to not eat it all in one bite. After eating we locked the doors and head to our small red car. I sat at the back with Donn while my parents at the front with dad driving.

We passed a series of tall buildings along with small ones. There were banners hanging at the front of the lampposts announcing the big event that's about to happen, the championships. We soon entered a very long tunnel and as we got farther it seemed that the cars passing us decreased. When we did get out we were welcomed by beautiful green trees. It looked majestic and I and Donn hanged our mouth in awe. There were birds happily chirping along while the sun glistened brightly. We were both loving the scenery but my parents weren't. They were scratching their heads in confusion.

"Sweetie I don't remember passing an orchard of trees on the way to the stadium," my mom pointed out the obvious to my dad with a hint of worry in her voice.

My dad agreed with her and continued to discuss on what we should do.

Now that I think about it the road got narrower and unusually uneven. There was no car insight nor any other vehicle.

"Should we go back?" I asked. My dad shook his head, "It's way too late for that Dawn".

We continued onwards and in each second that passed the road keeps getting uneven and it felt like the trees were already caving us in. It was getting darker and darker to the point where my dad had to turn on the headlights. We were all getting worried and confused. What was happening? A fog started to brew making it harder for us to see. The situation we were in seemed to get worse.

I took a quick look at Donn just to see him hugging his knees wailing his eyes out. He was whispering, murmuring things that I couldn't exactly understand.

"D-Donn are you okay?" I asked worried trying to lay my hand on his shoulder but when I did so he flinched and started yelling.

"NO STOP IT IT'S ALL YOUR FAULT! OUR FAULT INFACT! IT'S OVER! DON'T'T TOUCH ME YOU MONSTER! I SHOULD'VE KNOWN THAT YOU'D BETRAY ME", he snarled backing away until his back was completely against the door.

He looked like a scared animal. His breathing was ragged and whenever I tried to get close he'd try to hit me. I got scared on what was happening to Donn.

Dad turned his head to us his eyebrows all scrunched up. "Donn why are you shouting?" he reprimanded.

My mom looked at us as well having this sad depressing expression.

Then suddenly I heard the tires skidding off road. My dad immediately clenched on the wheel trying to turn it into the opposite side of where it was spinning until the car turned and flipped. The car turned into a big giant wheel rolling towards its end. My family and I were going up and down in the car then left and right bumping on all sides injuring ourselves while we scream for help. But no one could hear us...

The window on my side shattered and I fell off. I groaned in pain on the cold pinching ground. Small glass shards punctured my left arm and my legs. Red blood dripped down my forehead and my head pulsed in pain. My body ached as my vision blurred and tripled. I could see the car making a direct impact on the trees at the left side of the road. It was a miracle I was still alive although I felt dead already.

I tried to stand up but my leg made this cracking sound and I fell back on the floor. I need to help my family. I don't want to lose them. They're all I have left. By instinct I started to crawl towards the car using the little strength I had. In my surprise Donn crawled out from the broken window. He approached me with his ocean blue eyes narrowing

"D-donn a-are you okay?" I asked weakly trying to catch my breath.

He had no expression on his face and just stared at me. "Donn... a-are you okay?" I asked the same question again.

I tried to grasp his leg begging for help. Then I heard a sigh. A cold sigh that sounded like it didn't care.

"Don't touch me," he scoffed stepping on my hand then giving me this glare of pure hatred and disgusting, "Disgusting. Look at yourself"

I yelled from the pain as he grinned. At the moment my whole world felt like a lie. My chest pained and I didn't know what to say.

He then kicked me on the ribs with the only legthat he could move freely and I coughed out blood. Tears started falling out myeyes until my vision darkened from the blood loss. The last thing that I saw justbefore it was total darkness was him spitting on me and walking away with alimp.
