I go to the kitchen to make some food. I haven't eating anything today, and I'm really craving some Cheetos. I yell, "Sam! Evan! Do you guys want some food?" "No, thanks!" They reply simultaneously. They're playing Fortnite and PubE...or is it PubJ?.. whatever. I head back downstairs, munching on my Cheetos as I jog down. I walk into my room, and for a second, I can't move. Jack is sitting on my bed, staring down at my artwork. No, no, no no no. Please stop, Jack. Don't look at the next one. "Hey," I say, barely a whisper. "Hi." He stands up. "I'm really sorry. I came in the back door. I wanted to surprise you." "It's fine." I say, collecting all of the drawings and trying to avoid looking Jack in the eye. he holds my wrists to stop me. "Wait. They're really good." He means it.  "Thanks," I say passively. He tries to pull me in. He tries to kiss me. At first, I think, "Maybe this wont be so bad." But it is. So I say, "I'm sorry, I can't." "It's fine," He replies, a bit annoyed. I don't remember why we got together in the first place. That just gives me another reason why we should break up.
