They want to hurt you. You don’t want to be hurt. They don’t want to change this arrangement of you suffering. They get a kick out of it.
Just not being around them if this solution is possible is the best win-win situation from my experience. You don’t take punishment. Hopefully the bullies find something better to do with their time.
People that are trashing your name in front of you, just making your life miserable in other small ways … I can remember a few high school experiences.
At first I wanted to patch things up. I figured they’d ease up on me. Quickly I learned they wouldn’t.
I thought about it and felt it was best to just avoid them as much as possible.
They’d hang around certain parts of the school before, after, and at lunch time, so I’d avoid those places. Hah, back in those days it was like desecrated ground certain parts of the school because my enemies would hang around there. Even when they weren’t there I did not like being in those areas of school.
Another thing is many bullies care too much about being cool many times. They look super lame if they go way out of their way to find you and bully you; so most bullies will stop bullying you when you avoid them like the plague.
