IT WASN'T LONG UNTIL the Avengers had suited up and boarded the quinjet with Amber Maximoff in close pursuit, lagging behind as she fumbled nervously with her fingers. She was the last to board the jet and as soon as the door closed behind her, she sat on a small row of seats which were furthest away from the Avengers. Her mind felt like it was going to short circuit. The thoughts of those around her seemed to flow through her mind rapidly, causing them to be distorted and fuzzy.

The girl brought her knees to her chest, tucking her head in between them as she placed a shaky hand on the side of her head. It was times like this when Amber desperately missed Pietro's advice, he always knew what to do and how to fix everything. Just thinking about him, brought a sad smile to her face. She wondered if her siblings were missing her or if they had even tried looking for her.

Natasha nudged Steve lightly, pointing at the girl who sat silently with closed eyes. Steve and Natasha exchanged a small glance and Steve nodded, standing up and taking the bag Stark was holding out for him to take. Steve made his way over to the girl, standing awkwardly in front of her with the bag in his hands.

"Mind if I sit?" Steve asked, causing the girl's eyes to shoot open in surprise. Upon seeing the girl's small nod, the man sat down on the seat beside hers. He sunk into the silence before twisting his body to face her. "You know we're going up against your siblings? If it goes wrong, you may have to fight them."

"I know..." Amber spoke up, her small voice almost getting lost in the silence as she fiddled with the collar of her t-shirt. "I'm a mind reader, there's nothing you can hide from me. I don't want to fight them, but I want my siblings back, so I will have to. What they're doing is wrong, and if they can't see that they've obviously been tricked." Steve nodded slowly, clearing his throat as he lifted the bag.

"Tony wanted me to give this to you." Steve stated, handing the girl the bag. Amber reached out, her legs crossing as she took the bag into her hands, examining it in curiosity.

"What is it?" The girl questioned, her eyebrows raised in confusion as she held the bag away from her body, in fear that it may be some elaborate trap.

"Open it." Steve encouraged the girl, tilting his head as a small smile crept across his face. Being around children was quite different to being around SHIELD's spies and agents, so it was considered a rare occurrence when he interacted with kids in his field of work nowadays. From being known as the poster boy for bond glue to being known as a war hero, Steve had often been around children at different events back in the day, so it wasn't uncommon for him to have to deal with children or learn how to adapt around them.

Amber feverishly opened the bag, her eyes widening almost immediately as she saw what was inside. The girl let her jaw drop as she spotted a black, long sleeved top folded neatly, a lilac skirt (with barely noticeable built in shorts underneath), a pair of runners- in the same shade as her skirt and to top it all off, a black, bulletproof vest. The girl wanted to cry out of pure joy. She'd never received a single gift or present since her time before Hydra, so to say she was excited was an understatement. Amber offered Steve a happy grin as a form of thank you, causing the man to smile back in response.

"Go try it on." Steve encouraged her, pointing towards the quinjets bathroom. The girl nodded slightly and stood up from her seat and sped towards the bathroom, shutting the door behind her. Amber was quick to shake off her clothing and to slip on her new outfit, and as she stood in front of the bathroom mirror, she couldn't help but to let a wide smile creep it's way across her face.

She couldn't remember the last time she'd been this happy about something, but the feeling she felt now was one she hadn't felt for years. However as a few thoughts crawled their way out of the corner of her mind, she couldn't help but let guilt overcome her about feeling this sense of euphoria. She felt guilty about the fact that her siblings were out there doing who knows what and in potential danger while, here she was trying on clothes.

The girl locked eyes with herself in the mirror, sucking in a deep breath before letting it go. She had to get over the guilt in order to regain her siblings. Amber squeezed her eyes shut before unlocking the bathroom door and opening it slowly. As soon as she stepped out of the bathroom, she was surprised to see all eyes on her. The feeling of embarrassment from all the attention seemed to seep through her, as she stepped out of the bathroom and into the light.

Steve smiled almost proudly at the girl as she looked at her feet bashfully. "Now you look like a hero." Natasha smirked, as she leaned against a small, metal table in the centre of the Quinjet.

"You just need a cool name now." Tony spoke up, turning around in his pilot's seat, his finger tapping on his chin in thought. "How about Witchy Jogger?...Purple Witch?"

"I am not being called 'Witchy Jogger', and 'Purple Witch' is just...horrible." Amber remarked, folding her arms as she raised an eyebrow. "-but I like the idea of having a purple theme in my name."

"Bruce, help me out here, bud." Tony said, as he turned to the scientist on his left. "Name some purple colours."

"Plum, Violet, Periwinkle, Amethyst, Magenta...uh, Grape, Lilac, Lavender, Wisteria." Bruce listed, scrunching his brows in concentration.

"AHA!" Tony exclaimed, throwing his arms up in the air, "Wisteria! C'mon, you've gotta admit that sounds cool."

"Hmm... I like the sound of Wisteria, it's mysterious...but fun." Amber pondered as she smiled to herself.

"Well then, Wisteria, are you ready for your first mission with the Avengers?" Steve questioned, as those around him prepared for the task ahead.

"As ready as I'll ever be"
