Chapter 19 - A New Clue

You saw Mabel and Soos leave as well you thought it would be your cue to go as well, that was until Dipper called your name and you turned to face him. "What is it?"

Dipper sat down on a fallen log and you did too, beside him. "So... umm... About just now..."

"Oh! If you mean about the things you said to the shapeshifter me, then I didn't hear anything you said." you stated, leaning backwards a little but didn't fall off and closed your eyes.

"You didn't?!" Dipper shouted. "Well that's a relieve." Dipper signed softly.

"What did you say?" you looked at him without turning your head to face him.

"What? Oh nothing." Dipper quickly said and looked back to the ground. You closed your eyes again.

You signed and said, "Come on out. I know you're there... Mabel... Soos..."

"What? But they left." Dipper said and you grinned.

"You absolutely sure about that?"

"Aww!... Come on!" Mabel jumped out from the bushes and scared Dipper, making him also falling off the log. Mabel came and sat beside Dipper. "And here I thought I was hiding well enough. I am not playing hide and seek with you as the seeker (Y/N)." Mabel pounded.

You laughed. "I don't think you can find me if you are the seeker."

Dipper and Mabel started to have their sibling or twin talk, so you just sat there and rested yourself from what had happened in the bunker.

You noticed the twins stopped talking and Soos sitting beside you so you opened your eyes again and sat straight.

"I'm still down that we didn't get to find the author. All I found was this briefcase." Soos said and showed you a briefcase from the white lab coat he got in the bunker.

Then it opened itself and there was a screen and a keyboard. "I don't think that's a briefcase."

"This must belong to the author!" Dipper screamed loudly with pure joy.

"It's a very broken one..." Mabel stated.

"I could fix it up, but I would need a lot of time and duct tape. A lot of duct tape." Soos said.

"Well then, it's settled. Soos would fix it and we would wait in the meantime." Dipper announced, clapping his hands together. "I can't wait!"

Mabel and Soos shouted, "Yeah!" while you looked at the words about the screen.

" 'Property of F' What does that mean? The author's name of course, but it's incomplete." you growl in frustration from the cule you found. "Well, that means I got to wait till Soos fixes it."

You pretend to leave the forest when you are actually walking further into the forest, thinking about the author.

You didn't even notice your surrounds losing their colours until Bill appeared in front of you.

"Look like you got a lot of clue about the author, Ice Queen." Bill said.

You looked up from the ground and saw Bill smirking at you, you kept a blank face on still. "Yes I did in fact."

"Care to share?" Bill asked nicely.

"You're all knowing, go figure it out yourself." your words were like arrows piercing through Bill's human form.

"That's cold." Bill laughed at you in pain like he really was hurt.

"You did say I was an Ice Queen, didn't you?" You said and crossed your arms. "Besides, I wouldn't be surprised if you know the author."

After your statement, you walked. You didn't know Bill was still at the same spot floating, watching as you walked away from your previous spot.

Bill's expression showed shock, interest, surprised, and most of all amusement, Bill's hair covered his eye as well as the eyepatch, his mouth grew to a grin.

For a while later, you noticed Bill not around you, not following you. You like that he wasn't doing that but at the same time, it feels weird, unusual perhaps.

You turned around and saw Bill still in the same spot, just floating there, looking at the ground grinning away.

"Bill?" Bill looked up from his spot and looked at you, then he snapped his fingers and he was in front of you.

"Yes, my lady?"

You flinched at the new nickname but returned to your normal self. "Is everything... fine with you?"

"What?" Bill said. "Of course not!" You looked at him with a questionable face. "I'm always not fine! I have tons of problems! Hell, I'm sure I'm the definition of insane!" Bill laughed loudly.

His laughter echoed through the forest. You looked to the side with your eye twitching, "Why did I even bother asking you?"

Bill stopped laughing and looked at you, eye to eyes. "Maybe it's because you're starting to care about me. You're warming up to me. Ice Queen~"

"That's it!" you shouted in rage. "Stop coming me names! And making jokes with them!" you took out your daggers and threw them at Bill.

"Aw~ and your icy heart was starting to melt. Now I need to start over again~" Bill said while dodging your daggers.

Author's Notes: Assassin vs Shapeshifter, who would win? Hmmm, this is a tough one... Who do you think would win?
