Silverwolf couldn't believe how much she hated Karai the moment she saw Leia's tattered body. The jackal held back tears as she stood and began to leave. She paused as a warm hand carefully grabbed hers. "Don't go," her heart shattered again as she looked at Mikey," not now." The jackal fought the urge to break down. She looked back at Mikey, her voice not reveiling the turmoil inside her heart. "I'll be found if I want to, please tell me if anything changes..," she turned and walked out of the lair.

The jackal walked along the tracks, with her eyes closed and her hand guiding her. She didn't deserve to know where the turtle's lived. Silverwolf smelled fresh air mingling with the stale air of the underground railroads. She looked at the crowds of people ahead and pulled up her hood, covering her face. The she-mutant moved through the bustling crowds and quickly exited the subway. She went straight into an alley and pulled aside the manhole cover, slinking into the darkness of the sewers. Only once she was in her sanctuary did she start crying.
"What's wrong?" She rubbed her eyes and looked at the mutant she was currently fostering. Although he was only six months old, he was alone and twice the size a pit bull puppy should be. The results of mutagen. Silverwolf let out a whimper. "I don't want to talk about it right now..." The pup understood and let her be. She cried for the rest of the night until she fell asleep.

Leonardo waited outside the lab. Mikey was asleep against his shoulder while Raph has yet to stop his attack on the punching dummy. At last the door opened and Donnie stepped out," are you guys still hanging out here?" Mikey screamed awake," Leia!" He fell and Leo just nodded. "Dudes..," Mikey rubbed his eyes and looked at his brothers," I can't get yesterday out of my head..." He hugged Donnie, tears trailing slowly down his face. Raph sighed," none of us can Mikey." Leo stood and didn't say anything. He just went to the dojo without another word. "I'm starting to worry about leo too," Donnie and the other turtles looked after their brother. "He's just so different now..," Raph agreed. "I think we could all use some time out," Mikey suggested," to clear our minds." "Y'know," raph spoke," that's not a bad idea. We need some fresh air. To process this better." The mutants smiled for the first time since Leia's rescue. "Let's go ask splinter if he can keep an eye on Leia. Then we'll get Leo and go," Donnie spoke enthusiastically.

The turtles ran across the rooftops. The brothers were amazed that Leo agreed to come along. Even Leo was surprised at his decision. The lair held an air of heaviness, and he actually felt much better as he and his team ran across the rooftops. Although nobody was as happy seeming as they usually were, they all felt refreshed. Mikey froze when a foot soldier flew by him. "Ahh," he cried as another rained down from the air. The turtles paused to watch Silverwolf deep in battle. She was in her animal form and shaking a soldier roughly. She released her grip and ducked beneath another attacker, morphing in the process. The jackal growled as her elbow made contact with the base of the soldier's neck. She stood in the middle of the all the fallen bodies for a moment before walking clumsily towards the edge of the building and sitting on the ledge. The turtles watched for a moment. "Anyone gonna go help her?" Mikey finally asked. "In my opinion, she needs space," Leo spoke and Donnie nodded. Raph didn't say a thing, like always he was suspicious of people. Silverwolf used to be an enemy, now she was an ally if they needed it. Otherwise she kept to herself. Raph wasn't as hostile towards the jackal due to her attachment to Leia and how much she visibly cared for the she wolf. But that didn't mean he trusted her. Mikey knew nobody was willing to go and check on the other mutant, so without warning he left and began to head towards her.

Silverwolf stood quickly as footsteps approached her. She instantly jumped and clawed at the rooftop across from her to get up. She scrambled sloppily to get on the roof before looking back at her possible attacker. Instead the mutant saw Mikey. She breathed a sigh of relief before backing up to make a better jump. She landed on the other side and smiled wearily. "Hello," she greeted the turtle," did something happen?" She asked and rubbed her tired eyes. She's had night terrors about the night Leia dissappearing and couldn't bear to watch the trail of blood she'd seen leading to the lab where a previous scientist had worked. When she followed the blood to the lab, she would find Leia, her brothers, and Karai hanging. Dead. Right now she was trying to find a place to get some raw or semiraw meat for Chutoi. He needed to eat. "Are you ok?" He asked, his blue eyes wide," I could get you some pizza! But personally I think anchovies are best!" He whispered the last part and Silverwolf chuckled, clueless to what the deal about this "pizza" was. She just shook her head," I was searching for a place that has the best nutrition in it's foods." She sighed,"I've got to go. Shopping to do and all." Silverwolf smiled and waved before jumping into the alleyway, pulling up her hoodie and walking into the river of people on the streets. She needed to find food soon.
