castiel one shot - hidden feelings

right so i was reading some of these earlier and i thought, well why cant i give it a try? so i have its quite short and for that i'd like to apologize, but i hope you enjoy. if you like this and want me to write you one, just comment and i will see what i can do :) will do any ships wanted, but no smut. 

Y/N Pov:

as you wonder idly down the stairs the faint smell of burning caught your attention. running to see what it was you found castiel in the kitchen, frantically trying to safe the small bit of bacon that hadn't been demolished by his haphazard cooking.

"cas, what are you doing?"

jumping slightly he turned around, his dark messy hair sticking to his forehead because of the smoke from the frying pan.

"oh urm hi Y/N. i was trying to cook breakfast but it ur... it went wrong" he blushed slightly, his gaze drifting back to the burnt food.

why was an angel cooking breakfast,they didn't eat?! you glanced at him, confused as to why he was doing this.

as if he could read your mind he answered your question

"i wanted to make you breakfast Y/N. what with all the hunting and the researching you, sam and dean have been doing, you've hardly eaten! and i couldn't even help you... i guess this is my way of trying to make it up. but even that went badly..." 

he sat down at the table, leaning sadly on his hand as he drowned himself in self-loathing thoughts. what he didn't tell you was that this was going to be the day he was gonna tell you how he felt, how every time you walked into the room it made his heart flutter.he hadnt told anyone this, what with dean and his 'strictly no chick flick moments' attitude.making this topic forbidden.

but what he didn't know was that ever since you met you'd always felt something more, you were just to nervous to admit. however with him looking so upset you thought now would be a good time to tell him.

"cas theres something ive been meaning to tell you for a while.... i think i might be falling in love with you-" 

your sentence was cut short by his lips on yours. you relaxed into the kiss, and had to reluctantly pull away for much needed air.

"wow...." you panted as he smiled, a slight red tinge spreading over his cheeks.

"i think i might be falling for you too"
