Richie POV

Me: GUESS FUCKING WHAT LITTLE BUG!
Bug: what?
Me: 1 WEEK 5 DAYS 
Bug: Seriously?!
Me: mhmmmm. also....i think i like a person and I need to talk to u about it because if i talk to anyone else about it they're not gonna shut up about it cus we're friends with him so plzzzzzzz let me talk about him
Bug: oh um sure
Me: im not saying his name because u might know him but he's 16, tiny, and...he's actually a lot like u 
Bug: oh really?
Me: yeah
Bug: cool. ok, u wanted to talk about ur crush without annoying comments so.....and how exactly does he make u feel Mr. Bear?
Me: i've known him a week longer than u but i like him a lot. we've become really close since he had this breakdown. it killed me seeing him that upset. i just wanted to kiss his stupidly perfect face
Bug: why didn't u?
Me: he was vulnerable. i don't want to take advantage of him
Bug: good
Me: i gotta get to school. text u at lunch
Bug: same
Me: u know we could totally just meet in the bathroom or behind the bleachers today
Bug: we could
Me: do u want to?
Bug: yes! WE SHOULD!
Me: can't handle 12 days without seeing this beautiful face?
Bug: there is one only persons beautiful face i can't go 12 days without seeing and i doubt ur him
Me: ouch, bug, that hurt. what's his name?
Bug: NOPE. I don't get to know the name of the person u like so u dont get to the know the name of the person i like. all i will say is that he's the most adorable person I've ever met
Me: okay
Bug: i really gotta go now or i'll be late. lunch, 12:45, bathroom in the hall by Mrs. Karoffski's

"Right now? You're meeting him right now?!" Ben asks.

"I'm supposed to be there in 5 minutes so I gotta go," I say.

"Have fun!" Mike says as I get up. I nod and walk to the bathroom. I see it's empty so I sit on the sink and wait for him. A few minutes later Eddie walks in.

"Hey, Eds" I say.

"How many times do I have to tell you, don't call me that" he rolls his eyes.

"You're never gonna get me to stop"

"Ugh. Why are you just sitting on the sink?"

"I'm waiting for someone"

"Same" he says. He gets out his phone and a few seconds later I get a DM from Bug.

 Bug: where r u? we should meet somewhere else, the guy i like is in here probably waiting for a booty call

I read the text and stare at it for a long time before looking at Eddie.

"Reads the fucking text and doesn't even reply" he mumbles.

"No fucking way" I say.

"I know right? It was kinda important too"

"No...way....."

"You okay, Rich?"

"Who are you waiting for?"

"I don't know exactly. I call him Bear though"

"Really? How long have you known him?" I ask. No way. There is no way Eddie Kaspbrak is Bug. That's just...that can't be possible. Right?

"3 weeks and a few days. We're supposed to meet in a little over a week but we decided to meet in here right now. I don't know where he is though" he answers. 

"You close with him?" 

"Yeah. I tell him almost everything. Except for names"

"What's he like?"

"He's funny but in a weird way, caring, and can be an asshole sometimes"

"Ouch, Bug, that hurt"

"Wh-what did you just say?!"

"Calling me an asshole? Rude, Buggy. Very very rude"

"How long have you know?!" he asks, jaw dropped.

"Since you texted me" I say trying to hold back a smile.

"That was so mean!"

"You know we've texted while we were right next to each other"

"How the fuck did we not realize?"

"I don't know. Wait...you said the guy you like is in here with you" I point out. 

"I forgot I told you that," he says embarrassedly. 

"It was like forty seconds ago, Eddie"

"Yes, yes it was"

"I'm pretty sure there's only one person in here that isn't you" I hop off of the sink and take a step closer to him. 

"Um y-yeah I g-guess" he stutters.

"You know who that person is, Eds?"

"N-no," he says as I get closer to him. I don't stop until I'm only a few inches away from him.

"It's me," I say quietly.

".....yeah"

"I like you too"

"Really?" he asks. Both of us are just barely speaking above a whisper. I put my hands on his jaw, lean down, and kiss the beautiful small boy. 

"I'm happy you're Bug," I say after we part.

"I'm happy you're Bear" he replies with a smile. I smile back and kiss him one more time before he says we should get back to the Losers. As we're walking I move my hand towards his and he intertwines our fingers. I look down at him with a smile and he smiles back. We get to the cafeteria and sit down at the end of the table.

"So, Richie, you meet Bug?" Bev asks with a smile. 

"Yep" I say with a huge smile.

"We've literally been talking to each other and not knowing for weeks" Eddie says.

"W-we know" Bill says.

"How?!" Eddie and I ask.

"After you gave me your Instagram name I realized it was the same one Bill and I found when we were looking for Bug" Bev explains.

"So you've all known for like....three weeks?" I ask.

"Around that, yeah" she says.

"And none of you told us?" Eddie asks.

"I wanted to. Bev wouldn't let us. She said something about an epic romance story at some point" Stan says.

"Epic romance?" I ask lifting an eyebrow.

"Did you guys seriously think we didn't see you guys holding hands when you came back? Or the heart eyes?" Bev asks.

"A-are you g-guys a thing n-n-now?" Bill asks.

"We kissed twice like 5 minutes ago. We didn't really talk about it" Eddie says.

"Don't forget that time we cuddled for like four hours," I say.

"There was cuddling?!" Bev asks.

"Actually, Rich, I would like to forget that day. At least the stuff that lead up to the cuddling" he says.

"Sorry, I shouldn't have brought it up"

"It's fine"

"You're doing good though right?"

"Yeah. You can check later if you that'll prove it to you"

"I believe you"

"What is going on?" Mike asks.

"Some personal stuff that happened to Eddie" I explain.

"Oh," he says.
