"Please state you're name and the day in question," I asked Mrs. Vasquez one more time. She wouldn't cooperate and I was, quite frankly, relieved by it. It mean't we had a lead. Finally, something that would show we we're actually getting somewhere. She stared at me with ice blue eyes. " I want to speak to my lawyer." She said blankly. " And you have the right to do so but why would you need to talk to him if you didn't do anything wrong?" I asked her studying her face."Because I would like to speak TO MY LAWYER!!!" She screamed. I smiled. "Thank you for your time." I said warmly and walked out of the room. I removed the case file from the rack on the door and walked back to commissions. "Hey there Ramirez, how's the case comin?" asked Officer Kennedy. " I think I just hit a big break." I said with some relief.
