"Guys I've read this thing like a thousand times. It makes no sense."
Kie said, holding the letter in front of her and Aofie, as Aofie nodded, scanning her eyes over the letter.
"I feel like I'm supposed to answer a riddle a small troll gave to me."
She said, as she rubbed her temples, Kie laughing lightly at her joke.
"I mean, the Limbreys own, like, half of Charleston."
She started, as Aofie looked up at the road instead of the letter, feeling motion sickness creeping up her body.
"What do the Kook kings of Charleston know about a murder on Kildare Island?"
She said as Aofie pointed her thumb back towards Kie, nodding her head, as if to say she had a point.
"Why you specifically? That's the other creepy thing."
JJ spoke up, as he looked down at the letter, "You know?" He finished, and Aofie also pointed at JJ.
"Look here it says, "Please come alone." That's hella sus."
Kie said, pointing at the part she read aloud, and Aofie looked back down at the letter for a split second.
"I was thinking the same thing. I think it's because—"
As Pope was speaking, Aofie heard a hissing sound coming from the truck, and before she knew it the road she was looking at, was now smoke.
