Duncan POV

'Night, dad.' I called from the door. When my father was busy, he didn't liked to be disturbed. 'Night.' He said, without looking up. He was working on his computer. I closed the door behind me and went upstairs. My room was very decent, thanks to the cleaning lady that came every day. I had a huge message board which contained all the pictures of my friend and family. On my message board was a picture of me and my mother, the day before she left. It was my birthday and she looked so happy on the picture. I still don't get why she left or even why she didn't say anything to me about it. I know it must have hurt dad a lot to because, after that he started to work like some robot. Sometimes I miss her a lot. Like on my birthdays or at Christmas. With only dad its no fun. I mean, I love him, but he's so uptight he can't relax at all. I went to my desk and got out my sketchbook and started to draw. When it was done I was quite shocked at what I had drawn. How did Katy get in my head so quickly. She was in completely black and white and seemed to laugh at me even dough I didn't draw a smile. Was it my imagination, I didn't know. All I knew is that I found the girl of my dreams. I didn't care about how and why. She was going to be mine. My girl. It even sounded good. I put down my pencils and walked over to my bathroom. I took a shower and brushed my teeth. I went to bed, but couldn't sleep. It was like big green eyes looked at me from the shadows and smiled friendly. I shivered feeling uneasy and at peace at the same time. When I finally fell asleep I dreamed of my future girlfriend.

I'm always up at seven and today wasn't any different. A soon as my clock went off I was awake. In the kitchen was a cup of coffee, a paper bag and a boll of cereal waiting for me. My father was always on his way out five minutes up before I got up, so on his way out he made me breakfast and lunch. The paper bag on the counter contained my lunch. I grabbed the bag and stuffed into the garbage can. I took out the garbage and walked over to my car. My bright red Chevy Impala was brand new. I got it to make up for moving again. I didn't tell dad, I didn't mind moving this time. He wouldn't have bought the car then, would he? Well, I'm not really that self-centred, but I just don't like to talk about my problems. Sophie seriously was a problem. I had one date with her and ditched her when she told Billy, who accidently called during our date, to fuck off. But the girl wouldn't accept a no. she deliberately ruined al my friendships on Westcon High and that was the least of what she did. But I was determined to forget about her as I've got new friends and still called and mailed with many of my old friends. Billy wasn't the only one who I still had contact with. No, Harry, Ned, Carry, Maud and Penny mailed me every Friday. They where my friends in Chicago and New York. I lived in the rich neighbourhood as I past an extremely huge house, which had six cars parked out front. Katy came out followed by her brother and some other boys. She slapped one of them on his back and smiled at the rest. When she saw me she waved me over. I parked my car and got out. All of the boys where staring at me. 'Hi, Duncan.' She said smiling that amassing smile. 'You've met my brother Kurt and these guys are in order of age: Kevin, Karl, Kasper, Kenneth and Kane.' She said pointing at the boy in order. The one she addressed as Kevin gave me a stern look. I had the feeling he could look through me and some off the other boys where looking like they wanted to kill me. 'You mind if I ride with you, Duncan. Kurt has to pick up five cheerleaders and I don't like them' Kathy asked and I actually feared for my live when all the boys looked at me. 'If you're brother doesn't mind, you can come' I said playing the ball at them. Kathy looked at her oldest brother and sighted when he didn't react. 'You're supposed to say you're oké with it now.' Said sounding annoyed. 'If I hear you skipped a class. I'll take all of you're book out of you're room and sell them.' He said coldly. Kathy smiled at him and grabbed my arm and dragged me to my car. As she got in the car her hair got in my face. Her beautiful smell made me dizzy and I had to wait a second, before I could walk over to the drivers seat.

Kathy POV

As Duncan walked over to his seat. I smiled at my brothers knowing fully well they didn't like it even a bit. Although I wasn't surprised by Kevin's treat, I hoped it didn't give Duncan the wrong idea of my family. He drove off and we sat in the car in a awkward silence. A Cd of my favourite band sounded very softly in the background. 'You mind if I turn this up. The next song is my favourite?' I asked. Duncan looked at me in shock. 'You listen to Ravencrowd? I've never met a girl who listened at them.' He said. I had to contain myself not to give a bitchy answer. 'I do.' I said calm, turning up the volume. Duncan shot me an other look, but I ignored him. I know I'm not typical girl, but is wished everyone would stop rubbing it in. He suddenly parked the car at the side of the road. 'Did I insult you or something.' He asked turning at me. 'Why would you think that?' I asked trying to stay calm. He looked amused and said: 'Perhaps because I'm not blind, you're angry.' I gave him a angry look and looked away. 'Ok, if you don't want to talk.' He said starting the car again and drove me to school in silence. I knew I'd hurt his feelings and was sorry, but I never apologise.

In the lunch break I was looking for Wendy, when I passed a almost empty classroom I hear my name. 'Its not that its just that. I don't find girls like that attractive. No, not just the way she dresses although that's a turn of to, but also the way she acts, that totally puts me of.' Duncan was talking into his phone to some guy on the other end. Tears started to leave my eyes and I turned away. I couldn't believe he said that about me. Why? I ran away and bumped into Kurt in the hallway. 'Hey, what's wrong?' he asked me, but I couldn't stop crying. 'Come on, Cookie. I'll get you to Kevin.' He said, directing me to the parking lot. He started his car and drove me right to Kevin's work. Kevin just came walking outside, together with Jenna, his girlfriend. Kurt got out of the car and walked over to them. They talked for a second after which Kevin let go of Jenna's hand and walked up at me. 'What wrong, Cookie?' He asked as he opened the door. I told him what happened and started to sob again. 'I'm gonna kill him.' Kurt who had eavesdropped the conversation was pissed and wanted to go up to Duncan and beat the hell out of him.

Duncan POV

My phone started to ring and I looked at the caller-id. A unknown number it said, so I picked it up. 'Duncan O'Bryan.' I started friendly, but my whole body stiffened as I heard the voice on the other line. 'Duncan, honey. Why did you leave me like that. Anyway, my brother wanted to talk to you.' Sophie said. My jaw clenched and I started to shake. 'Why did you ditch my sister like that.' A angry voice yelled trough the phone. 'Who listen, dude. I didn't even date you're sister. She's not my type.' I tried, but the boy at the other end didn't listen. 'Why who is your type than.' He yelled. I got pissed. 'My girlfriend Kathy in Kentucky at least she wears clothes instead of bikini's.' I lied. Kathy wasn't my girlfriend and she didn't live in Kentucky, but she did dress better than most girls I've met. 'So you've got another bitch.' the boy sneered. 'Its not that its just that. I don't find girls like that attractive.' I said and I went on before the boy could say anything else. 'No, not just the way she dresses although that's a turn of to, but also the way she acts, that totally puts me of.' I said, but a noise outside the classroom got my attention. I walked out and saw Kathy talking to her brother down the hall. 'And how does she behaves than?' The boy asked obviously doubting his sister. 'Well for one, she promised the quarterback to sleep with him if he'd beat me up. Do I need to go on?' I said. I could here the boy sigh on the other end. 'No, that's enough, she'll leave you alone' He said, before yelling at his sister: 'I'm gonna talk to dad about this, just so you know. After which he hung up the phone. Strangely, I didn't see Kathy al day
