Stop Time (Mephisto X Reader)

When? Where? How? Why?

Y/N's PoV

I sat in my room, reading a manga. I was trying to avoid going outside lately and it scares me to think something or someone was around the corner trying to kill me. I tried to stay close to Rin and Yukio, since they had the powers of the Devil himself. They knew I could protect myself, but I've just been too paranoid and I didn't exactly have a sword on me. Just wings and enough power to level the school, which I didn't want to do, so I generally was trying to keep some things to myself.

There was a knock on my door and I put my Manga down, opening it to Yukio, who was dressed in his exorcist uniform. "Hey Yukio, is everything okay?" I asked. "Yeah, it's just we need to head to the Vatican. Shura and Mephisto caught the tamer" Yukio said and I gasped.

They actually caught him!

I stepped out of my room, putting on my jacket and following Yukio through a door, bringing us to the Vatican. For it's usually quiet noise, today it seemed offly loud. I front of us I could see Shura, Mephisto, and...
My mother and Arthur.
Gross.

I tried to keep my cool, but the fact that they were both here, with my boyfriend was something different. As we continued walking, Mephisto caught sight of me and Yukio and he smiled. "Yukio, My dear, your here" he said happily, pulling me into a hug. "Hey. You know it's been like a day since we've seen each other" I said. "Well, I can't stand being away from you!" He exclaimed, my mother scoffing in response.

I laughed and leaned into him. "Your doing this just because you want to annoy my mom, right?" I whispered into his ear. "I have no idea what you talking about" he said sarcastically and I giggled. "Can we please get to business?" My mother asked annoyed and me and Mephisto glanced at each other. It was working. "Yes. Where is the tamer?" Yukio asked Shura. "Down this way, folks" Shura said, beckoning us to follow her.

Me and Mephisto walked along side each other, My mother and Arthur being behind us. "Are you thinking what I'm thinking?" Mephisto asked me and I smiled wickedly. I nodded and he responded by putting his arm around my waist. I leaned into him, snuggling into his shoulder. I couldn't help but laugh, covering my mouth. "Let's hide those laughs, shall we?" Mephisto said and raised my brow in confusion. He the leaned down and kissed me and, of course, I kissed back. I could feel my mother's anger and Arthur's annoyance.

We broke the kiss and I smiled lightly as we came to our location. We stopped at a giant vault and Shura opened it, the door making the room shake. I looked inside to see a man sitting at a table, chained to it with warded cuffs on and he looked up at me.

He then smiled a creepy smile at me, making me afraid. I took deep breaths, looking to Mephisto for reassurance. "Well, time to investigate him. Y/N, do you want to come in with us?" Shura asked. I hesitated for a moment, considering weather this was a good idea. I nodded and me, Shura, Yukio, and Arthur stepped into the Vault.

"We will be waiting out here" My mother said and I stopped and turned to Mephisto. "Wait, aren't you coming with?" I asked. "I'm sorry, but we are staying out here to make sure nothing comes in or out" Mephisto said. "Then I want to wait outside" I said. Yukio put his hand on my shoulder and I turned to him.

"Y/N, you'll be okay. Your going to be with Me and Shura-"
"And me" Arthur butted in and I glared at him.
"And an angel. You will be okay. Nothing is going to hurt you" Yukio finished and I bit my lip. "I will be right out here" Mephisto added and I took a deep breath. "Okay."

Yukio smiled at me and ushered for Shura to close the door. Shura closed the Vault door, leaving us with the Tamer. Shura and Yukio sat down across from the Tamer who was being awfully quiet. Me and Arthur leaned against the wall. "Okay, kid. What's your name?" Shura asked. The man looked at Shura, standing up and Shura growled. "Sit back down" Shura said. "Shura, it's fine, he's chained up" Yukio said and the man laughed. "You better listen to your boyfriend there" he said and Shura glared at him. "My name is Evan" he said.

"Why did you attack the mall?" Shura asked. "Because, she was there" he said, looking over at me. His stare made my skin crawl. "Okay, who ordered you to do it?" Yukio asked. "Who said someone ordered me to do it?" Evan asked. "Hey, we are asking the questions" Shura said. "Fine. Can I call my lawyer?" He asked and Shura growled, slamming her fist on the table. "Stop screwing with us! You either tell us or screw yourself over!" Shura yelled.

"Miss Shura. I asked to calm yourself. We don't want to have an incident report, am I right?" Arthur asked and Shura growled at him. She took a breath and sat back down. This was going to take a while.

Mephisto

I waited outside of the room with Michelle, who seemed to be avoiding me at all costs. "Is something on you mind, Angel?" I asked and she scoffed. "Why would you care?" She growled and I acted offended. "What? I'm just making sure your feelings are not hurt" I said and I could see her seething with anger.

"Why would my feelings be hurt?" Michelle scoffed and I chuckled. "I was just assuming since your own daughter finds you repulsive" I laughed and she glared at me. "You do not know how my daughter feels" she said lowly. "Really? Because I don't see Y/N going to you to confess her feelings" I said, crossing my arms.

Michelle walked across to me and pulled out her short sword. "Listen, you dull filth, I will not take your mocking tone. My daughter may not revere me, but I love her, no matter how much she hates me. I would do anything for my daughter, so I ask you, take good care of my daughter. I don't want to see her getting hurt, not by you, or some silly tamer" Michelle explained and I pressed my lips into a thin line.

"I never knew you cared so much" I said and she sighed. "I may be an Angel, but that doesn't mean I don't have emotion" Michelle said, walking back to her original place, sheething her sword. "I will try to protect to the best of my abilities" I said and Michelle growled.

"No, you are going to always protect her, even from herself" Michelle said and I held my hands up I surrender. "Okay, okay you got me. I will always protect her" I said and Michelle nodded.

Maybe Michelle did trust me to take care of her daughter.
My love.
I would always be there for Y/N. Even if it cost me.
