Baba got up and I died inside. I prepared myself for everything. Slaps, scolds, every single thing.
"Saba show me my room please." he said coldly while saba nodded, wiping away her tears from her cheeks and got up. New tears formed in her eyes, I could see that, I could easily tell that without a doubt, but I was helpless. I don't know how to face her.
They both left leaving me in trance. I was still sitting. And just in a few moments Saba came back with tears all of her face. She stopped to look at me and I looked back at her and slowly whispered 'I'm sorry'. Saba pressed he lips in to a thin line, sniffled and turned to leave the room.
I felt so weak, it felt like I've been hit by a truck. The pain I felt in my heart was enough to break me more.
This was bound to happen Shehry, what were you even thinking, Baba will just come and give you a hug? He will pat your shoulder? Or Saba will come to console you every time when you are in need? Ever thought how much badly she's been asking for someone to pour her heart out right now?
Slowly I got up and almost screamed, unintentionally but it pained a lot. Saba came running out of nowhere wiping her tears.
"Sorry I forgot." she said and started helping me in setting up the crutches.
You should be the one saying sorry, Shehry.
"To the room?" she asked and looked at me. I barely nodded and she came to my side helping me walk wrapping her right arm on my back.
Say sorry, Shehry.
'Yeah as if it'll fix everything' I replied to my thoughts.
Will this help even? Taking her help and ruining her life even more?
"You want something to eat?" she asked and that's when I noticed her was was thick which made me turn my neck and I looked her with a frown on my forehead.
"Ah I mean you have t-to take medicines..." she said, explaining herself and I slightly nodded with my gaze still on her.
She lowered her head and started making me walk. I broke from her trance and also started walking, taking small steps.
Damn you Shehry.
Sorry kehna tha, creep out nahi karna tha.
*******
Saba went to the washroom after serving me food in the room. I knew what she was upto, she wanted to let out all of her feelings, crying in the washroom and then come out closing her heart.
Leaving the food, I stood up bearing all the pain without making any noise as I didn't wanted her to know I'm leaving the room.
I went straight to the room where baba is, and knocked on the door as the door was closed but there was no response.
"Please open the door." I spoke.
"Please, for the love of your daughter."
The door opened soon without any noise and baba stood there.
"Andar a jaon?" I asked and his eyebrows knitted.
"Kiya bacha hai kehne ke liye ya or bhi kuch hua hai jo mujhe mazeed taqleef dega?" he questioned back and I lowered my eyes.
"Please ek baar or sun lain meri, pori baat sun lain."
I requested and he opened the door wide and came by my side and walked me towards the bed and made me sit there.
