Chapter 3: Must Defend

All I can see are demonic faces in an angel's clothing.

"Mga... hayop kayong... di dapat.. naglalakad... sA LUPA NA TOH!" I tried to be quiet and gentle since kwarto ko is right beside my sister's and natutulog siya.

I guess I shouldn't have invited them... or I shouldn't have left my phone unlocked.

I trusted them with my security too much.

I looked at my phone and na-seen na niya pala.

"At least nga pwede na kayo magusap at di mo na kailangang iproblema ung pagstart ng conversation eh." Christjude explained, but Sean was still laughing.

"...Ayaw nga niya magreply eh." Sinabi ko naman sa kanya.

"Bakit? Nagaway ba kayo?" Tanong naman ni Sean.

"Actually. That's not the reason." I said.

Excited ko na sabihin kung bakit.

"Ano nga?" Tanong naman nilang dalawa.

Di talaga sila titigil hanggat di pa nila nakukuha ung sagot.

"It's because you shitheads and your cringy-ass texts gave her a hard time to reply, you retards. Common sense lang."

Woohhh. My chest feels lighter now.

I wanna say that again.

The look on their shocked faces, though. Na-butthurt yata sila ng masyado.

But I was wrong. They continued laughing their asses off.

"Uy Zac, wag mo sabihin 'Di ako yun. Kaibigan ko nagchat nun' ah. Matu-turn off yun." Sabi sakin ni Christjude.

He's right, though. I'm basically checkmate right now.

"There's nothing left to do but to finish kung ano sinimulan namin." Sabi naman ni Sean. Both of them smirked and laughed at my misery habang ako naman ay nakatayo lang hawak ung phone ko nakatingin sa kanila with my eyes begging them to stop.

Sarap paguntugin ung bungo ng dalawa na yun.

I looked at my phone again, hoping may reply. Kahit anong reply, basta reply. Nakakahiya if nagchat pa ako ulit.

I placed my phone on the bed and lied down beside it.

I looked up and observed the ceiling. I don't know why but I just watched, and watched, and watched, until I eventually got bored.

I close my eyes. No, I'm not tried. I'm trying to contemplate.

I can't comprehend kung ano ung chinat niya.

"Nabulag sa kagandahan mo"? What the hell does that mean?

Di naman ako ganun kaganda. Tapos ung "pinakagwapo" sa school, ma-iinlove sakin? Surely somebody used his phone and did it to embarrass him.

But even if ganun ung situasyon, it means kung sino man gumawa nun ay may idea na si Zac ay may crush sa akin...

But what if si Zac talaga nagchat?

Either way, both situations lead to one conclusion...

May crush siya sakin.
