I think that broken things carry more power and strength . All broken things like broken glass , broken dreams, broken smiles , broken hearts are way more stronger than fixed ones. Their shreds can cut deeper than any knife.
Example : when dreams are like dreams ; carrying courage to fulfil them , make them come true. And when dreams are broken ; no more courage , and hope. Just anger and melancholic faith.
The more pieces there are , the more dangerous it becomes. The more the damage , the more the fears. Still its funny how we neglect the broken things so easily but well, its one of the few things people ignore calmly these days.
