Mia's POV
I entered my advisory with a huge grin on my face. I was sick the day of the teacher met and greet, so this would be my first time meeting my teacher.

"Hello, I don't think I've seen you before, are you in this advisory?" A guy who looked to be at least 18 walked up to me. He had dark brown hair and really light bluish eyes. Wow. He looks... young.

"Yeah, I was sick the day of the teachers meet and greet, so that's probably why you haven't seen me before."

"Oh! You must be Mia! Wow, you're tall. You weren't at all what I was expecting." He said comparing his height to mine. He was only a about a few inches taller than me, and that would've made him at least 6'0 foot.

I laughed a bit. "What were you expecting?" I asked, a little curious.

"First of all, I wasn't expecting you to be this tall." Yeah, I figured. "Your parents also told me you had curly hair. Yet it's straight. I mean, that's not bad or anything! I was just expecting something else, but this looks good too." He looked at my hair and even lifted it up, to inspect it. I blushed, but it was barely noticeable. The other kids in the class were either busy talking to someone or they were on their phones. But for some reason I still felt a pair of eyes on me. I looked around the room and saw that they belong to a guy. He had baby blue eyes and really dark brown hair. He reminded me of Asa Butterfield for some reason. His chin rested on hand, and he had a smirk on his face. I blushed again, this time it was more noticeable. The teacher must have sensed this and let go of my hair.

He cleared his throat and scratched the back of his neck awkwardly. "Um, I don't think I introduced myself properly. I'm Mr. Jones, I hope we have a fun and educational year together." I know wasn't supposed to ask but I did anyway.

"How old are you?" That caught every girl's attention. Mr. Jones face palmed, and grabbed my arm pulling me into the hallway. Luckily it was empty so no one thought I was in trouble. That would either plummet my reputation or skyrocket it, but I wasn't ready to test my luck just yet.

"Ok, new rule; you cannot ask my age."

"But since I asked anyway, mind telling me?" He sighed and looked around to make sure no one was looking or watching.

"I just turned 20, but-"

"20, wow! But doesn't this job require you to be 21 or older?" I said with a smug look on my face.

"That's why you can't tell anyone. I graduated early, and got a fake license."

"Why not wait another year?"

"Because... reasons."

"You know...you didn't have to tell me any of this."

"But you asked."

"Yeah, and I'm sure a lot of other girls have too, so why tell me?" He flinched. I guess he wasn't expecting that.

"Well you seem to be the only one who hasn't fallen head over heals for me. Wait, unless-"

"No way, Grandpa. You're way too old for me." He sighed in relief, then realized what I called him.

"Why you little-"

"Is everything alright out here?" A teacher with short blonde hair and a large smile came out. She looked young as well. Somewhere around Mr. Jones's age. The sign on her door read "Ms. Collins".

Mr. Jones's cheeks turned a light shade of pink. Wait, does he...?

"Yeah, everything's fine. Sorry did I interrupt your class?" She nodded her head.

"No, don't worry. I just saw you guys out here a couple of minutes ago but I was in the middle of teaching. Well if everything's alright, I'm gonna go back." Mr. Jones waved her goodbye then just stood there staring at her classroom.

"Do you-"

"Come on let's go inside, class is about to start." He walked into the classroom room and left the door open so I could walk through. My heart sped up. His...eyes.

His eyes told a story; about a lonely boy who only finds joy in the one he cherishes the most.
It would never look that way, but that's only at first glance. The more you get to know him the more you'll see his story too.
