(Pov Jaune)
I stood in the same spot for what felt like eternity, before realizing that I still had a mock battle to finish.
I ran off to find Cardin Winchester. I swear the staff of Beacon want me to suffer. They always paired me with Cardin. But now I felt confident, thanks to Ruby.
"Ready to fight?! Or are you too weak?", I heard Cardin Winchester yell to me.
I turned around to look at him, but of being scared or worried, I was confident.
" Oh screw off, Cardin. ", I said confidently, holding my head high and my shoulders back.
"Let's get this over with.", Cardin snapped at me.
" Alright for the first mock battle. Jaune Arc V.S Cardin Winchester.", Professor Goodwitch announced.
"Oh shit! " I thought as my muscles tightened.
"What's wrong Jaune, buddy?", Cardin teased.
" Attack now Jaune while he's distracted. ", I thought.
I dashed toward Cardin, attacking him before he even knew what hit him.
" Gah! That hurt! You're going to pay for that Jaune! ", Cardin threatened.
" Will I?", I asked teasing him back.
Cardin tried to attack me but I managed to dodge the blow before it hit me.
After about half an hour of fighting Cardin Winchester fell to the ground exhausted. Aura almost completely gone.
"Um.... the winner is Jaune Arc! ", Professor Goodwitch announced unsure of what just happened.
" Thanks Ruby. ", I said quietly to myself, as the other students in the crowd went crazy with excitement.
