I walk to where we are meeting, because I don't have the money for a car. The restaurants across the street. I can see it. My heart pounds in my chest. I start to walk across the street. I don't notice, but my speeds slows, because I'm so scared. I suddenly hear honking. I turn to my right and see it. A truck coming at me full speed. It all happens so quickly, I don't move. Or even try to jump. My feet are plastered to the ground.
Screeching.
A bang.
Glass shattering.
My head hitting the asphalt.
A warm feeling on the side of my head.
Sirens.
Nothing.
