Time for Peace
What shall our children do
If we can't heal the wounds
That tear the world apart
And break a mother's heart
Sitting by stream with young Maisie
Watching fish flips and butterflies
These are the days we can never get back
These are the times we should never forget
Belonging to generations upon generations
The call from the future
Save and protect
Save and protect for our children
Turn back the tide of neglect
Lay down your arms in a pile
Time for us all to connect
Reading a book with young Maisie
Stories of daring and brave escapades,
laughing and playing or singing a song
making it up as we go along
Shhh....
Time to close eyes
say a prayer
Save and protect for our children
Save and protect from despair
