my Long Distance Relationship

when I went up to bed at 2:30AM I got a text five minutes after, I checked my phone, and it was from her. "Hey, are you still up, I'm lonely" if it were anyone else, I'd have ignored it, but it made me smile, for the first time in a few months. "Yeah, I'm up." I replied "kinda tired though, when are you going to sleep?" I asked she said "I'll be going soon, don't worry." I smiled, myself, for some reason her wanting to be with me despite being a complete stranger, lit up emotions inside of me, it was strange, I hadn't felt much of joy for a year, and in that one message I had felt more happiness than I had done over that entire year. I eventually asked her why she messaged me and not one of her other friends, she said "I don't really have any friends." I felt bad for her, she was amazing from the little I knew, and I responded with the most cliché thing ever, "well that's wrong, I'm your friend." The conversation continued for another hour until she was tired and went to sleep, I did the same, this girl was brilliant, if only I could hold a conversation...
