I always believed that my grandfather and I had a good relationship. He would always call me Squeaky and he'd come over and give me and my brother Scratch Offs from this shop near Winn-Dixie. Then, we'd try our luck to see if we win anything. He would always make me laugh and smile with his silly remarks and facial expressions. I felt loved. I felt like he really cared about me. However, he didn't. It was like it all was an illusion. It felt like he was the bird in a magicians act, you were so sure he was there and all of a sudden he was gone. Poof! He disappeared into thin air, not leaving a trace to where he could of gone. At the time I'd thought he'd come back but, he never did.
