In the forests of Cape Cod, Massachusetts lays a nature reservation. The Forsythia Forest Preserve to be exact. Its minor purpose is to help aid the fight against deforestation, but it's main objective is something no one-let alone Harry Edward Styles, graduating senior and soon to be freshman in one of the country's top colleges with a full ride-could've ever guessed. Its job is to protect the entrance into the invisible fairy kingdom of Forsythiamuthos, Forsythia for short.

There resides Bloom, a fairy getting ready to graduate their fairy-version of school by passing her powers test, but there are problems. When the awkward girl runs across the one human who can see her kind, he brings with him possibilities and situations never before encountered by either species-especially after they fall for each other. Whether or not their worlds can coincide without wrecking their lives is a challenge neither of them ever saw coming, but strangely, they're looking forward to it.
