Evil's Unexpected Hostage

Chapter 12

It was already the start of school for the six friends, and they seemingly felt nostalgic on reviving the memories from their weekend at Adam's villa by looking at the numerous pictures on their phones.

Adam and Anne also got pretty close, and weeks of relationships turned into months, until finally both of them celebrated their 3 month relationship. They could not be more in love than they already were. Anne also got the unique priviledge of entering Adam's home several times: a secluded spot away from the neighbourhood, nearly close to an empty road. His house was not as magnimous as his other properties,but was comfortable and big enough to have 4 to 5 kids run around the place. Anne always kept on wondering as to why Adam would live in such a place and not move closer to town. When confronted with the question though, he simply stated that he was more of a nature person then city person, which Anne decided to respect.

Rainy was the day, when Adam did not come to school, causing Anne to worry. She texted him several times but he still did not respond. The whole day was an emotional turmoil for Anne, being worried on what may have happened to her boyfriend. It was not like him to disappear without notice. Hence, she made the decision to make a surprise visit to his house after school. Darting out of the school doors after the bell had rung, Anne started the engine of her parents' car which they let her borrow occasionally, glad that today was one of those days, and hurriedly drove towards the end of the city, in anticipation of finding her boyfriend safe and sound.

Upon reaching his place, Anne could hear shouting and faint crashing of something, which she curiously inched near the closest window, only to find her boyfriend talking through the device once again. It was stranger to witness this, given that Anne knew the mouse-like device was merely a medium for holograms.
However, what further astounded her was when the hologram started to speak back to Adam, calling him by some weird name. She froze into her spot when she next heard the words of Adam.

"Gimme time Baligi. I have to know these people to be able to eliminate them. It is then that our mission shall be successful."

Baligi, who seemed to be talking through the hologram then responded: "Your father is furious Ashuro. He is demandimg a deadline. It has been three months. WHAT WILL I TELL OUR FELLOW GALAKEEZ?!" He bellowed. "YOU DON'T EVEN SOUND LIKE US ANYMORE. YOU SOUND LIKE THE EARTHLINGS!"

"BALIGI! I DO NOT APPRECIATE THAT TONE!" Adam/Ashuro firmly warned. "I need time. These people are as smart and emotional fools as well. They care about their planet similarly like us. It will take time.Trust me."

"How can I trust you when one of the Earthlings is listening to our conversation right now?" Baligi snapped, causing Adam/Ashuro's head to immediately turn, facing eye to eye with Anne.
