In Our Own Quirky Ways

President Mic's overly eager, and Mr Aizawa's extremely annoyed voice called over our track as my classmates joined me in the frontal position of the race.
"Class 1A has learned not to hesitate." Mr Aizawa commented, and he was right "they've seen what the real world is like, they've felt the fear of facing villains, yet they fight on, trying to overcome that fear." I twitched from my position on top of my robot, "they've grown, all of them, and they know that they have to act quickly if they want to stay alive."
Easily, I caught up with Icey, and over took him.
"Hi Icey! Bye Icey!" I called, turning around to keep eyes on him, and nearly flew backwards when my robot jolted to a stop "what the hell!" I demanded, turning back to the front and groaned "oh crap..." I muttered, looking down at the giant cavern with thin wires... the giant hunk of metal would not be able to cross this....
Hesitantly, I climbed down the robot and stepped onto the tightrope, balancing as best I could and began moving forward.
Mr Aizawa is right, we know not to pause, we have to move forward, I have to move forward!

Squealing when my weight shifted a little too much to one side, I formed a small wall of water to the side and used it to regain my balance.
"Hang on a second..." I mumbled, a smirk rising on my face, even as Icey shot past me on a different rope, using his ice to help him slide along it.
Taking a deep breath, I made a stretch of water on either side of me, and began running along the rope, either hand pressing against the water, keeping me safely on the tightrope.
Crossing the tightrope cost me more time than I expected, and by the time I reached the other side, I was in at least 5th.
"Oh no you don't!" I yelled, taking off with the speed gained from training with Mr Aizawa, and quickly moved back to second place, behind Icey.
"The final obstacle huh?" I murmur, pulling to a quick stop in front of the land mines, watching Icey slowly move through it, without using his quirk.
Biting my lip, I summoned my baby dragon.
"Hey there" I cooed, watching it look around curiously "Phoenix got hurt so I can't summon him, do you think you can fly me across?" I asked hopefully.
The baby made little bubbling noises before flying closer to me, pulling both of my hands onto him and flying up with all his might, managing to hover me a few feet above the ground and moving as slowly as Icey was going.
"Good boy!" I cheered, looking up at the concentrating dragon "just fly me over to the other side, alright!"
The dragon let out a little squeal before complying, moving a little quicker when the yells of my competition began calling behind us.
Kaa-chan suddenly blew past me, scaring the baby dragon, using his quirk to quickly blast past the mines, not having to touch the ground.
"A little faster baby, you can do it!" I cooed, we were catching up to them!

As the two boys fought for first place, I silently slipped past, biting my lip, hoping they wouldn't notice and turn their attacks on me.
"And Kuro Hirai has snuck into the lead! Will she be able to keep it?" The boys eyes flashed towards me, only a few feet ahead of them, floating slowly with a firm grip on the baby, and I laughed nervously.
"Go, go, go!" I yelled, and all of a sudden there was a small 'pop'! and the baby vanished... "ummm..." I stuttered, landing on my ass with the two watching me in confusion "I guess it was too much for him? Well... see ya!" I yelled suddenly, scrambling to my feet and doing my best to avoid the mines, with the two forgetting their fight and now speeding after me... well as best they could.

A giant explosion caught our attention, causing all three of us to freeze and look towards the source.
"Izuku!" I called, looking in shock towards my friend who was flying towards the three of us at a great speed.
If I just stand here I'm gonna lose! I thought as Izuku flew over head
"I'm not gonna lose that easily!" I yelled, running forth with reckless abandon, frying the mines by turning the inside air to water "this is gonna help everyone, but I'm in the front so I don't care anymore!" I shouted, making a bee line and summoning a horse the second I cleared the mines, bolting ahead of Kaa-chan and Icey, but Izuku was just too far ahead, and crossed the finishing line moments before I did.

Gasping for breath as the sounds of cheering surrounded me, I jumped from the horse, smiling in slight disappointment.
"Thank you" I murmured, patting the horse before dismissing him.
"Good job Izuku!" I cheered, jumping on his back and hugging him as he gasped for breath, seeming completely exhausted.

"The contestants are pouring in one after the other! Let's hear some applause for all of our competitors as we prepare the results!" President Mic yelled through the mic, and I watched as my classmates and other first years pulled through to the end, most gasping for breath.
Looking to the side, I watched Icey stare at Izuku, before walking off slowly, and Kaa-chan growl to himself about coming in fourth.

"The first game for the first years is finally over, and what a game it was!" Midnight commented as all the first years stood before her. "Now let's take a quick look at the standings, shall we?" She directed our attention to the hologram before her, which flashed with our standings.

11-TETSUTETSU TETSUTETSU and the douche that made me scream at a group of people... great.

They only showed the top 20 individually before going into a list.
"Only the top 42 will advance to the next round." Midnight announced, "but don't be too let down if you didn't make the cut, we've prepared other opportunities for you to shine. Now! The real fun is about to begin! The chance to fully move yourselves into the lime light! Give it your best!"
Midnight cracked her whip again, and the roulette styled spinner started, and I watched eagerly, what would this place have us do now?
"Prepare yourselves... for this!" Cavalry battle?
"Cavalry battle?" Kaminari whined, "I'm terrible at those!"
"Allow me to explain" Midnight hummed, turning towards the screen that shifted to an image of Thirteen and President Mic carrying All Might. "The participants will form teams of two to four people as they see fit." I looked around, who would I want to be on a team with? "In theory, it's the same as a regular playground game, but there is one difference. Each player has been assigned a point value based on the results from the obstacle course." My peers then went on to explain the game themselves, and Midnight wasn't exactly... happy with that.
"I get it, a point based system, like the entry exams, that seems pretty simple."
"So that means each team will have a different point value based on which students are on it!"
"Yep!"
"Maybe you should shut up and let me explain things to you!"
"...She's scary..." I mumbled, tapping my hand-held subconsciously as people around me nodded.
"Now then!" Midnight continued, happy that we were all watching "the point assignments go up by increments of five starting from the bottom, for example; 42nd place is worth five points, and 41st is worth 10. And the point value assigned to the 1st place contestant is 10 million!" Immediately my eyes darted to Izuku, who was looking rather terrified as people stared at him eagerly.
"That's right... it's survival of the fittest with a chance for those at the bottom to overthrow those at the top!"

Hey guys!!
Thanks for hanging in there while I took a break, I don't write fanfiction very consistently which is why I was going to release it all at once while I was done but people really wanted more sooooo, yeah, hope you guys don't mind the gaps 'cause I'm writing my own story as well :)

Just a small note that isn't so happy and kinda was the main reason I wasn't putting much effort into uploading, when names aren't "right", I did it on purpose, I got a few pm's about it as well as notes on the story, mainly about Todoroki. I had his name as Icey, not Iceyhot, it's not changing, it's not wrong, it's my main character's nickname--NOT Bakugo's.
Another is for Tsuyu, in the subtitles I have, it was written Sue so that's how I wrote it. This one doesn't bug me as much as the Todoroki one, but it's a little irritating when it was said---and then it was said about twelve more times. I might go over it again and fix stuff like this, but I might not, this stuff is minimal at best and you know who it is and I acknowledge that it's not how it's supposed to be spelt. But for the love of god leave it be.

Sorry for the rant, I usually try to keep my stories sparse of author notes, let alone negative stuff like rants but it was kind of a big thing and made me feel less inclined to write when for a while there every time I opened this app everything I was reading about my story was that I was wrong.
