Natsu walked down the streets observing all the people wandering the streets, watching them smile, watching them hold hands with each other. Natsu had always wanted to be with another, to not be lonely, but sadly, Natsu never had someone like that. Ever since Natsu's father had passed, he had always been alone. No friends, no family, nothing. Currently, he was on a goal: to see all of the kingdom. It was Igneel's, Natsu's father, last wish. For Natsu to travel the kingdom. Maybe meet the princess if he can. But Natsu knew he would never meet the princess, rumors state that she ran away, never to be seen again. But at the same time, no one had ever seen her, as she was not allowed out in public. But those were rumors of course. For all Natsu knew, the princess could still be in the palace, with her fancy dress, surrounded by maids and parents, never feeling lonely.

Natsu continued down the street, suddenly feeling hungry. He looked around Hargeon, looking for a place to eat. He followed his feet, trusting them to take him to a nice restaurant. His feet stopped as he looked up. 8island the sign said. He walked inside, almost immediately noticing a girl, probably 17, eating by herself. He felt bad, only because he though that no one should ever be by themselves. But soon, a waiter came bringing the bill to the girl. As Natsu got a closer look at the girl, he noticed at the table several plates and a blue cat. He watched as the girls eyes go wide when seeing the bill, and gives the cat a sad look. Natsu had figured what had happened, the girl ordered so much food and wasn't able to pay for it. After sighing, Natsu walked up to the group, and gave the waiter the money that the girl couldn't pay for the food. As the waiter thanked them and walked away, the blonde shot Natsu a questioning look.
"What was that for?" She inquired.
"You obviously couldn't pay it, so I paid it for you." Natsu said, facing away from the duo. Was it really so bad to pay for someone?
"Well, thank you."
"Sure," Then, something clicked in my head, what if I could make a friend? "My name is Natsu, what's yours?"
She looked hesitant, shot a glance at the cat, earning a nod from it, then replied, "It's uh, L-Lucy." At that very moment, sunlight had made its way into the resturaunt, showing off all of Lucy.  Her chocolate eyes turned a dirty golden, and her blonde hair shone and glistened under the light, making her as beautiful as a goddess. Natsu stared wide eyes at her beauty, and Lucy responded by giving him a small giggle, making her even more beautiful than what he thought was beautiful.
"You're beautiful," Natsu mumbled in a trance. Lucy's small ears hadn't picked up what Natsu had mumbled, but a quiet blue cat had.
"Luuucy~" The cat purred, "he called you beautiful"
Natsu had whipped his head to the side, seeing the blue cat, completely forgetting it was there. Both Lucy and Natsu had turned into a light pink shade, showing that they both were embarrassed. Sudden realisation hit Natsu as he just heard the cat talk. Natsu's face grew shocked, and he went wide eyes,
"It talks!?" He yelled
"I would like to have you know that I'm not an it, I'm a Happy!"
"Come on guys let's get going," Lucy said, then turned her head to Natsu, "I would like to get to know you."
Then, she shot him with an award winning smile.
