ZEUS.
thunder rumbling in ancient eyes as lightning storms tear down crimson cheeks, mouths ripping universes apart with pearly teeth alone / they tear it down to fleshy strips of rock and bone, calloused fingers scattering the bleeding dimensions on the dusty floorboards of what was told to be olympus / their home is built on melted candle wax and broken promises, how could a god sit upon a throne earned with fists and deceit alone / their teeth should be shattered and ground by the amount of untruths that raced past bitten lips / race past bitten lips / there's no stopping, is there?
dragging feet across empty rooms, still searching for signs of life among the vacant mansion, still searching for something that wasn't them / they were tired of them / them was always there, thoughts tainted of paranoia and painted with blue / why was everything blue?
the skies bleed orange and pink, the sun streaking curious life into the devouring night and they couldn't help but wonder of what is was like / was / now is ashy fireplaces gone cold with time and crinkled pages that burned too easily, now is the shoulder on the doorway that watches the door with vulturous eyes, wanting someone, anyone, to walk through / no one came / were they forgotten?
so time passed, the tick tocking clock seeming to be more that a tool to count days, it counted decades upon decades that piled and stacked upon each other / it wasn't neat, the years in disarray / booze burned aching throats and smoke embedded in crusted lungs / what happened?
mortality / they were skyward bound, a promised crown accompanying a promised throne / promises were made to be broken in the end, though, promises cost / peeled gardens, daises littering the dying ground in minuscule pieces, sunflower stalks cracked upon the ground, morning glories clinging so tightly to whatever they can just in avoidance of getting ripped from their home / bloody knuckles, a reminder of the brawls that began and finished in the disoriented world, how glasslike skin was compared to the stormy flesh that once incased you / thunder was still trapped within the fragile prison.
one could say that a single glance of the lonely entity haunting a desolate world was a broken thing, cracked screens and clipped wings / flying high, they plummeted.
