chapter one

"i need to tell you something."

         hwayoung called me. it was sort of sudden, three in the morning, and i knew that earlier that night soonyoung went over to visit her. she texted me 'jeonghan, soonyoung is coming over for a bit, so i will be m.i.a until tmw!'

        she's so cute.

        but yeah, i was taken aback. it sort of startled me, she never called this late at night unless it was an emergency. what scared me even more is that her voice was shaky, she honestly sounded like she was crying.

        "hwayoung? where are you and where's soonyoung? is everything okay?" i ended up asking so many questions, i hoped i didn't overwhelm her.

         "the bathroom, sleeping, no," she answered quietly.

          "no? what's so bad that you couldn't tell soonyoung?"

          "soonyoung hit me today."
