My Dear Friend

Hello my friend it's been a while,
The last time we properly conversed brought on a smile.
Hanging out made me feel glee,
Just remember you're still dear to me.

The times we spent together although short but precious,
I remember thinking how you're gracious.
Though doubting yourself comes to be the usual,
To me my dear friend you are beautiful.

I know life isn't the easiest it's been tough,
And sometimes you've just had enough.
In those moments I offer my ear and shoulder,
I shall be your ally in life my fellow soldier.

It breaks my heart how life has been cruel,
That emotions and thoughts drown you like a whirlpool.
I know the struggles of trying to keep them at bay,
Just know I'm happy you're here today.

I know that life has been unfair,
How the pain can be a lot to bare.
Whether I'm far or near,
I shall always be here.

So this is a little reminder just for you,
Whenever you catch yourself feeling blue.
Just know I support you until the end,
Because I love you my dear friend.
