"Ladies and gentleman, please fasten your seat belts. We are starting our decent to your destination. Welcome to Atlanta, Georgia." The flight attendant stated through the plane speakers. We've been on this plane for hours on end going home from Hawaii.

My name is Kylie Marie Jackson and i lived in Hawaii for five years before my family came to visit and talked me into coming home for a few weeks. At first I was reluctant but then gave in.

"Kylie," my mother got my attention. "Put your seatbelt on we are almost there." I nodded and did as she was told. People think of me as a 'good girl' because did what I was told but really it's called respect. People nowadays lack that characteristic and it is sickening. After about twenty minutes we finally walked off the plane. The airport was really packed which I would expect during the summer but on a Wednesday? I shook the oddness off and we made our way to the car. When we almost made it to the car before we heard a blood-curtailing scream coming from a few cars down.

"Get to the car!" my dad ordered as he ran to help the lady. As we climbed in the car I heard my dad yell. I jumped out of the car ignoring my moms pleading to stay. When I arrived I saw the most horrendous sight in my entire life.

My dad was being eaten.

"Get off him!!" I yelled at the woman chewing on his flesh. That only drew her attention to me as she stood up. She limped toward me, snapping her jaws trying to get me. I ran back to the car and grabbed my revolver and turned toward the woman.

"Please don't make me do this." I told her but she continued coming toward me. I shot her right between the eyes and she collapsed.

"Dad!!" I yelled running for him. He was drowning in his own blood. "Oh dad come on we will get you to a hospital." I tried to assure him.

"Jack!" my mom yelled the minute she laid eyes on him. "Honey w-what happened?" his eyes trailed to the woman I shot on the ground.

"I-I- love y-y-you." He managed to get out. "K-Kylie, protec-ct your f-f-family." And that his breathing slowed to a stop.

"Nooooo!" my mom screamed. I looked up to see more of those flesh eating monsters limping to our direction.

"Mom we gotta go!" she just sat there so I grabbed her, "I said we have to go!!" we piled in the car and drove.

My mom was hysterical. My brother and sister were crying and I was driving. I flipped the radio on to hear the broad cast.

"A unknown disease sweeps through the country. Downtown Atlanta is safe. Go there for a safe camp evacuation." A news caster reported on the radio.

"So we're going to go downtown and get help." I told my mom. She just nodded her head a kept crying. I mean we all cried but I had to stay strong for them.

"But first we got to stop by the house and grab weapons, food, clothes, stuff like that." I stated as we pulled into the drive way.

"Emily, look at me." I said once we entered the house. " I need you to get a few blankets and all the food you can that doesn't need to be cold. You understand?" with that she nodded and took off.

" Bryan, I need you to help me with the guns." My brother who was a year younger but a foot taller than me nodded and went to the den.

"Mom grab what you can."

We went our ways and grabbed everything and loaded up the car. I gave everyone a weapon. Me my bow my dad got me when I won the archery competition. My brother got his Glock and hatchet, Emily got her revolver and mom, well she don't like guns so she got her machete. We jumped into the car and drove toward Downtown Atlanta.
