Proclamation of Idiom Sur.

Down from the mountain to the valley below he came.

Like a rolling thunder but, only to whisper out a name.

And those inside the village heard a dialect quit peculiar,

strangely innate was his thinking, all knew of Idiom Sur.

Funny, relishing with a glass demeanor that would break,

confronted, there was only so much the Idiom would take.

Then the Sur would come out in breath-stokes unscathed,

still, some would argue till their red faces were self-raised.

"Attention has been called as I have arrived in this plain.

You, mammon chaser, have only shown yourself shame.

And where was your neighbor throughout this thought?

On a journey you have wished your children to be taught?

"Look over to the Hemlock and you see it just as wood,

while I see life giving breaths, all disguised yet, good!

Now tell me Elders please, why this fussing and raving?

Have you forgotten the golden rule; Love's ever saving?

Looking about; at first the Elders would not dare to moan,

then there is always that one standing out, quick to groan.

Unseated he glanced at the cowards unwilling to speak,

finally he grimace, sneered and said, "That he was Meek".

"Meek?" queried Idiom Sur to the misleading elder.

By what means? Please, fill us all with your splendor.

Respectful indecision is injected only for the blind man,

but I believe I would enjoy things from where you stand."

"You see those trees as life-giving breaths and not fuel,

I see a world for the making, and that Sur is not cruel.

I see in them forests, food for my family to survive;

while you would have us stand clear, starve or die.

"I have no inclination to do neither, forth-with I will add.

I've seen the sun rise day after day and it makes me glad.

With its morning hue lighting every little thing that's dim.

So may I inquire, Who's going feed us. You or Him?".

Chen-Se was a balding man with white flowing locks,

speaking boastfully because he had many things in stock.

Just then another stood with a few words in which to speak,

and this man also proudly claimed, "That he was Meek".

Naggish was not as old as Chen-Se but was incredibly smart,
