I walked down the stairs carefully, as I heard the creaking of the wood, and the tension release as I lifted my foot, and stepped down onto another step.
I could hear as I approached the kitchen, forks being set on plates, and the sound of boiling water on the stove, and my mothers soft humming. Her sound waves traveling from her mouth to my ears, and my eyes widening, at the sound of how beautifully she hit her notes.
"I'm making omelettes." She said with no emotion, as I slowly walked to the table. "I have to leave for work soon. I need you to hurry up eating and clean your room. I'm having guests over later." I sighed, and stared as she poured the boiling water into a mug, which had a tea bag already inside. No sugar. My mom is a very bland person, and she doesn't really show much affection. Towards anyone that is. But I have to be positive.
I'm sure the fact that I'm positive is honestly the only reason I'm alive. I'm sure if I let myself fall into the hole of depression, I would've just killed myself already. My mom has been bland to me my whole life. I never had many friends, I always felt alone. But lately she's been even more horrible towards me, because when I turned eighteen she wanted me to move out, but I wasn't able to with the money I was making with my current job. Ever since she's been pissed.
"I'm leaving. I expect you to look for a job today. I want your ass out in the next two months."
I took a sip of orange juice, and looked away from her, what a bitch. I thought to myself, but only nodded my head. She grabbed her purse, and left the house, slamming the door behind her. I pulled out my phone, and opened my messages.
None
How shocking. I rolled my eyes, and cleared my plate. Staring out the window, I could see my moms car driving away, and then slowing down by the neighbors house, and they stomped towards her with an angry expression.
"Why the hell would you back up onto my plants?!" My neighbor Andy angrily yelled at my mother. She yelled, "I didn't mean to! And they were fucking ugly anyway." He threatened to call the cops as she drove away quickly. I ran outside when she was out of sight, and ran over to him. "I'm sorry about my mom. She's an asshole." He half smiled, "I can tell. Hope she doesn't act like that at home." I rolled my eyes, "I just ignore her at home." He smiled, and started to look at his ran over plants, and I made my way back inside. Andy is in his mid 50's, and the only thing he is really passionate anymore is his plants, which my mom "accidentally" ran over. She always tells me she hates how excited he gets over what he's done. There is no way on earth that she didn't mean to do it. After thinking, my phone rang and I jumped. "H-hello?" I asked. A mans voice on the other end laughed, "Calm Down Bee, it's just me." I smiled, my dad. "Oh. Hey." I went into my room, and started to pick up things, while my dad went on and on about his day. "Your mom still doesn't know I'm in contact with you does she?" I laughed, "I wouldn't  be alive right now. She calls you a devils servant. Honestly she should look in the mirror every once in awhile." He laughed, "how is she acting about you not moving out?" I bit my lip in frustration, "she said I have two months to find a job and move out." "Oh shit, good luck. And if you ever need to you can stay with me for a bit. I know I'm constantly working but it's a place to sleep." I sighed, "I really wish you got custody of me, and not mom. I could've lived with you all these years. Obviously I could live with you now, but I'm eighteen, and I'm looking for a place." He sighed, "true. I just wish you were still my little girl." I smiled, and walked over to my desk, to organize a pile of papers. I picked up the paper to organize it, and dropped a piece of paper on the floor. "Damnit." I knelt down, and searched around, to see it had landed in my bookshelf. I never really use my bookshelf, it's technically my grandmas, who died last week. The bookshelf was in her room, but my mom was going to change the room into an office, so she moved the bookshelf into my room. I pulled out the piece of paper, and noticed a book called: to rip apart. It looked intriguing, so I picked it up, and set it on the desk. I hung up with my dad, and flipped the page to the first one. I expected small words, that went along the page like a normal book. But instead there was a larger print, that said "the words you are going to read in this book, might just destroy the universe." My hands started to shake, but I tried to tell myself it was just a book, and it can't do shit. Nevertheless, I turned the page, and started to read.
It went on and on about how humans have two souls, and knowing it could destroy existence. Because if you know, it's easier for your second soul to escape. I finished the book, and set it down, and then heard a mans laughter. I turned around quickly, only to find no one was there. "No, Bee. It's me, you. I'm inside of you. And I think I've been in here for much too long."
