20 Sᴇᴘᴛᴇᴍʙᴇʀ 2018

"The fuck?" A boy fanned at his shirt with hopes that the navy blue 7 sticker would vanish into the thick air surrounding him at his schools opening. At least that's how these things work in movies, right? All answers would be given to you with a snap of your figures.

If he can't be given the answers, the least he can do is try to pry them out of someone. "Hey shit-face what do these numbers mean?"

"Haechan I swear if you call me that one more time-" Sighing the boy next to him said while holding back a retort that would end with countless teasing. "If I knew I would have been sure to have told you by now, ok?"

He just scoffed in return, there goes any plans of further help.

"More importantly why do you have a higher number than me? Last time I checked your face was not a 9 on a scale of 1-10. You look like god was having a real fucking bad day when he created you." Haechan said back to the boy, with no real meaning behind his words. He actually respected the boy, but would he ever say it? No lmao.

"Wow thanks man, I almost thought that you were going to praise me there for a second." The said boy rolled his eyes while peering down at the gold 9 on his shirt. "But everyone has one, they must mean something?"

"Thanks for pointing that one out Mark, or should I say you dinky dick."

"Shut up, fishface."

"Hey what number did you guys get? The brown on mine is kind of unpleasant. It reminds me of burnt toast." A tall figure walked up to the two that were currently bickering, pointing at the brown 8 displayed on his shirt.

To the new boys question Mark showed off the side of his shirt that displayed his number, gesturing for Donghyuck to do the same.

"I got 9. But hey, your number is just one behind mine Jeno."

"Your color is as bland as your personality."

"Thanks." Jeno said with a half-hearted smile presented in a mocking way, before turning to Mark to resume their conversation. "That's kinda cool. what do you think they mean?"

Although, as Jeno asked that very questioned he decided to look around at everything in the school. For one, each student is painted with stickers all in different colors and numbering. What the heck? For sure he has been to this school in the years past, why the new start now? "You know what Mark, it's probably one of those stupid things schools do to bring together students. Also, do you know where Jaemin or Dobin is?"

"Probably. I haven't seen Dobin anywhere, but Jaemin was over there studying or finishing the summer work. Though, which doesn't make sense because he finished it during the summer, revising?"

"Most likely, he's been talking about how he isn't ready for this school year to start. The stress you know? Ill just ask him about his number later then." Jeno shrugged his shoulders looking away from the direction Mark was pointing, his attention now on Haechan who is glaring down at his sticker once again.

After a long pause of silence Mark finally spoke up taking the two boys out of their thoughts. "Jaemin will catch up with all of us soon, boy is as sharp as a needle. But for now do you want to go find the rest of the squad?"

With only receiving a nod from the two, the three headed off on a search for the other children somewhere around this school.

Fumbling with the hem of his shirt a small boy looks at the bright green 2 located on his shirt. He clearly had questions on it himself, but as seeing everyone had the same look of confusion as he did, he assumed everyone would be of little to no help. "Why..."
