Well. Looks like I missed the deadline for the poetry contest. Gonna put the tag on it anyway. Ive been busy lately. If you like it email the powers that be and let them know about it. Maybe I can sneak in the contest. But to tell you the honest truth. Read it. Its not fiction. Its my story, my legend, my struggle, and my legacy. You may find a gleam of hope in there somewhere.

Border line, Mr. Grim

Mr. Grim showed up with a grin on his face, looked more like a scowl.

Had a scythe that gleamed, hell, it howled.

His naked bones made a nasty sound, click clack

clickety clacking.

Should have known he wanted to stay a while.

Oh, it makes sense now, ha, look at my writing style.

Lessons earned, are lessons learned they say.

Should've showed him the door when he popped

a bubble I blew his way.

I'm here to torment you until the end.

That's not very nice coming from a new friend.

Your never going to make it, not going to amount to anything.

Want to go play out back? I have a bat, if you want to take a swing.

I walk on the border line, Mr. Grim, where good and evil meet.

I've never strolled on Boardwalk, never brunched on Fleet street.

The pain you caused only made me stronger.

The battles won but the wars not over.

Try again, try harder Mr. Grim its getting easier every time.

Its harder to make me shiver, and cower here on the border line.

It was a while before I seen him again.

You don't call, you don't write, where ya been Mr. Grim.

But he had been there slowly digging, kicking up stones

pickety picking.

He struck hard, surprise attack.

My life was gone before I knew I wanted it back.

Panic, torment, anguish were the gifts he brought

Cowering in a corner I felt a spark

I didn't know how to use it but I fought, God I fought.

Your in my clutches you fool, there is no relief

I'll give you my life for just one moments peace.

Your gonna live a long hard life just like I said.

My life's already gone. I'm already dead.

I walked into the liquor store once again, eyes bloodshot, but bolder.
