I felt the rain drum on my head as I ran through the forest; twigs catching the fabric of my white linen dress with their sharp claws. Thorns cut my face leaving deep wounds that bled rapidly. The rain came down my face like a waterfall blinding my vision. Dampened by the rain, my hair stuck to me as if it was glued on. My heart thumped louder and faster than a stampede of elephants as I sensed it was catching up to me. Just before I felt it's fingertips brush against my arm I screamed "HELP! HELP ME SOMEBODY PLEASE!!!!"
It was at that moment that I realised. That moment I realised. I was dead already.
Many thoughts crossed my mind. Many thoughts about what would happen to me if I stopped running. Who would miss me? Would anyone miss me but the one thought that outweighed the others was would anyone remember my name?
