chapter four

kylie pov

i ran out of my car and wrapprd my arms around chad.

"oh god i missed you." i whispered holding him close to me.

he chuckled with his head still in the crook of my neck.

"i love you so much. it almodt killed me when they told me you were gonna mate with kane."

i heard his voice crack at the end. i smiled and pulled back.stroking his cheek gently.

" its ok. were together now and thats all that matters."

he smiled when i said that wrapping his arms around me again.

"i love you chad. no matter what happens. i know kane will try to find us. if he takes me again i want you to run and never look back. i kniw if he finds you with me he will kill you. promise me." he looked at me tears in his eyes he nodded "say it please chad." he sighed and kissed me gently. "i promise." i smiled.and hugged him tighter to me.

i smiled at him as i pulled back.

" remember when we were kids and we used to talk about going and building our own pack?" i laughed lightly remembering.

"yea. since i had alpha blood i was going to be the alpha and you was gonna be the luna." i said. we both looked at each other before busting out laughing.

"i still wish we could do that kylie." i smiled and nodded.

i looked out at the creek. it was beautiful. i listened to the crickets

and rested my head on chad's shoulder. "chad you wanna go for a run?" he smiled at me.

"yea i'd like that." i shifted into my grey wolf with a white chest. i looked and saw chad shifted too.

i smiled at his beautiful dark brown almost red wolf stood next to mine.

i nuzzled him lovingly as i turned and ran away teasing him.

he growled playfully and ran after me. i splashed him with water growling at him as i walked back up to the shore. he bounded after me causing water to splash everywhere.

i giggled at him.

i looked at him his brown choclate eyes sparkled as he looked at me.

i threw my head back and howled, chad followed my lead and howled too. our voices sounded like they fit together. i stopped howling when i heard another howl. this howl caused my wolf to get excited. she had been quite ever since we left kane. as angry as she was earlier at kane he still loved his wolf. i saw a wolf come towards us out of the woods. other wolves followed behind. i knew the big black wolf in front was kane and this was his pack. "chad run now!" chad growled but didn't move. "chad please you promised." he looked at me and whined before turning and running.

i snarled at the other wolves that were walking towards me. when i felt something hit me. i looked down to see a dart in back right leg.

i started to feel dizzy when my paws could no longer support my body.

i fell to the ground. the last thing i saw was kane walking toward me smirking.
