He hides in his room,

Away from the screaming

Not once understanding

But always wishing.

If the fighting would stop.

He would no longer have the urge

To call a cop.

Shattered glass would no longer

Remain on the floor

And give him a sore.

He waits for the day,

He sees only happiness

And feels no emptiness.
