I shook my head back at him confused, "Ms. Peterson, what kind of noise did you hear?"

"Sounds like you have redone the entire place." Ms. Peterson kept going down the steps. "But I am glad to have you back."

Chris stepped up next to me. "What the hell is she talking about?"

"I don't know, I mean she thought I was tapping on her window for over a week when it turns out the cat from above us got out. She literally called our landlord on us, the lady is super old but she watches our place." I made my way up the last flight of steps when I stopped.

Chris looked past me.

The door was cracked open.

"Brooklyn..."

I stayed on the landing.

Chris walked toward the door when I reached out to him. "What are you doing?"

"What?"

"I mean, someone could be in there."

"Then stay out here."

"No, you aren't going in there."

"Babe, we gotta see what is going on. Maybe Harlow left it opened when she left earlier."

"I don't care, but I don't want you going in alone." I said back to him.

Chris smirked back at me, "It's gonna be ok."

I wanted to fight back but he pushed the door open with his foot.

It went back hitting the wall.

Chris used his elbow to flip the lights on, "Babe...

I stepped into the apartment when my heart stopped.

Chris stepped over a broken bar stool watching broken glass from the coffee table.

My eyes scanned the room.

My heart was frozen in my chest.

"Babe, call Harlow. Call her now."

His words were mumbled to me.

"Babe?" Chris turned back to me. "Babe?"

I locked eyes with him.

"Call Harlow and check on her."

I just stood there looking back at him.

Chris's eyes dropped from me, "Sebs, where are you and the girl?"

Something came from Sebastian's mouth but I just kept looking around. My life. My hard work. It was all smashed.

My eyes finally found my room.

The door was pushed to making it dark.

I swallowed whatever I had in my throat back. The tears. The screams. The pain of what had happened.

My dresser was flipped over.

My bed was ripped wide open.

Clothes thrown all over the room.

Photos broken.

Everything was just ruined.

"Sebs said that haven't been here. They went straight to his place."

I nodded my head back at him.

"Babe?"

"He didn't touch her room. He didn't bother with it."

Chris leaned back to look across the living room.

His shoulders dropped.

I was right.
