Two people.

This is how most romance stories start, right? I'm kind of new at this whole "narrating" thing. Hell, I barely even know the plot by now! Well, whatever, I guess I have to continue the story either way.

Joanne Abbott, Joey for short, and Laurie Swann. Not very eyecatching outfits, that's for sure, but interesting conversations!  Just a few minor details...

Laurie loves to discuss musicals and singers, but absolutely HATES anything that isn't dramatic or what they think is interesting. To be honest, I'm not really sure what they consider "interesting", but we'll all find out soon enough.

Joey has a eye for anything from before the 21st century. Most of these things are bands, black and white photos, and old-fashioned stuff. Joey's mom still has a landline phone of all things!(Just between you and me, Jo-Jo over here thinks that our century is a waste of talent spent on stupid things like appearance and drama...but you didn't hear it from me!)

Like all high-school set stories, there's friend groups and school (Ugh), but also LOTS of drama! Brace yourself, dear reader. Things could get ugly (And I'm not just talking about the teenagers' attitudes!).

Both of these characters like to think of themselves as the most average, boring, and uninteresting people. If that were true, I wouldn't be narrating a book about the two of them!
