"Ayyye! Another round of shots? Come on you know you want to!" Bec and Liz were looking at me like I was crazy.

"Come on. Just tequila, I promise." I pleaded. I'm only going to get one 21st birthday and damn it, they just weren't drinking enough. Bec was also just a self-titled party-pooper. Don't get me wrong, she used to be the life of the party, until last summer when she met Matt. Now its like if she doesn't see him for more than a day she experiences separation anxiety.

I grinned as Liz stepped up to the bar to wave over the bartender "three tequila shots please, with lemon and salt." Liz on the other hand had been with her boyfriend Scott for three years, she used these nights as an excuse to escape his man cave, whilst he often hosted boy's nights to compensate.

Bec turned her judgements to Liz, "do you really think that's wise? Any more and she'll be lost to the world. Matt is supposed to pick us up in 30 minutes!"

Liz just shrugged, turning to me to share a side-wink that Bec was not able to witness.

"Oh come on Bec! You barely drink, call off the hounds and lets just dance for the rest of the night" I began to spin around as I stared up at the lazers. It's funny how the music and lights are much better after three vodka red bulls and tequila shot no. 5.

"Is she high?" I heard Bec ask.

I stopped. "No. I would just like to have a little fun before I go back to university thank yah! Maybe meet a guy, have a little bit more fun." I grinned. "Oh, shots are ready!"

Side by side, we lined up at the bar for shot no. 6. "Three, two, one!" Liz shouted.

Salt. Shot. Lemon. "Ayyye!" Oh damn, that one burned.

Bec rolled her eyes "shall we take it to the dance floor?"

"Now you're talking!" I waved her on, watching her auburn curls bob their way onto the dance floor, with Liz's strawberry blond waves following.

Before I could follow, a throat cleared behind me. I turned to the waiting bartender. "Oh my bad! So sorry, other things on the mind you see." I babbled as I began the search for my card, it was somewhere in my bag.

"No, no. I got it." a long, tanned arm reached over my shoulder, handing the bartender a $20. Shit. Hot or not? He smelt like what I would imagine to be a summer beach bonfire and his voice, well it just rumbled, I could almost feel the vibrations. Mmm musky and husky. Definitely hot.

"Excuse me?" he laughed

Well crap. Apparently, I'm too drunk to know the difference between thinking and verbalising.

I slowly turned around, only to lock eyes with what I could only assume people referred to as a Greek god. His eyes were the most amazing shade of green, like grass after three days of straight rain. His skin. Damn, his skin. It was a caramel so light that it was hard to tell if it was his natural skin-tone or if it was what remained of his summer glow. Guess I should say something.

"Sup?" Well fuck me. Maybe I had just one shot too much.

"Surely you don't need another drink?" he laughed, flaunting some serious dimples. His eyes lowered for a second before they came back up to meet mine.

"Yeah I should probably slow down hey?" I giggled, feeling the need to adjust my dress, strapless was probably not the best move. Or maybe it was, I mean it got his attention.

He moved in to put one hand on the bar behind me, the other coming up to my face to grab the stray lock of hair that had found its way in front of my eye. He held it for a second, as if he was studying the colour, then tucking it behind my ear, his hand stayed lingering by my jaw. His green eyes once again locked on mine, "would you-"
