Andy's POV

I wake up to the normal stupid bus décor. Finding Emily staring at me nearly scared me. But it relaxed me because her face was the first thing I saw today. And hopefully it's the last. I want to fall asleep staring at her.

" What?" she asks. I narrow my eyes and continue to stare. " Do you sing and play?" I ask. " What is that suppose to mean?" she asks. " Just answer the question," I blurt. " Sure, if you want me to be your singing bar tender," she says sarcastically. I continue to stare. But with a smile. " No, I just wanted to know," I say.

That wasn't really a great reason for asking. I got a call saying that someone wanted us to go on another tour. Well, I wanted M to come with me. And if she was park of the act, we would be able to be together all the time. And we would get a bigger bus, but that's the down side. I wouldn't be able to hold M while she slept. She only tolerates it because I wont let her sleep in a chair.

" Are you just going to continue to stare at me?" She asks. I feel a smile creep over my face. " Why not? The boys aren't even awake yet," I say pulling her closer. " Well, I think we should get the day started," she giggles. I grab her hand and pull her off the bed with me. Together, we fold it back up and into the couch. We replace the pillows. I went back to thinking of last night.

How M laid on the floor and listened to music. Music. That's it. I run to the back of the bus and grab my acoustic guitar. Grasping it in one hand, I enter the living room and sit down next to M. " Do you know how to play?" I ask. " Have I been living under a rock?" she answers. " True, true," I say handing her the guitar. She starts off with a soft strum and then adds some cords to it.

" When I was younger I saw my daddy cry,

And curse at the wind.

He broke his own heart as I watched

As he tried to reassemble it.

And my momma swore

That she would never let herself forget.

And that was the day that I promised

I'd never sing of love if it does not exist.

But darling,

You are the only exception.

You are the only exception.

You are the only exception.

You are the only exception.

Maybe I know somewhere deep in my soul

That love never lasts.

And we've got to find other ways to make it alone.

Or keep a straight face.

And I've always lived like this

Keeping a comfortable distance.

And up until now I have sworn to myself

That I'm content with loneliness.

Because none of it was ever worth the risk.

Well you are the only exception.

You are the only exception.

You are the only exception.

You are the only exception.

Oh. Oh. Hey. Oh.

I've got a tight grip on reality,

But I can't let go of what's in front of me here.
