Part 1 character summary

Start from the beginning

Alpine (Kobold)

A Kobold (essentially, a humanoid dog) whose fur is white as snow and whose eyes are black as darkness. It seems to enjoy being treated as a soldier, and its loyalty towards Astaroth holds no bounds. It wears a black, spiky collar. As it is a Kobold, it is so short it has no problems clinging to Astaroth's leg. Additionally, it can be hard to communicate with.
Astaroth believes it has been blessed by the Goddess of Darkness: the Goddess, herself, is sceptical.

Xhaos and Smile (???)

The head torturers employed by Astaroth.
Xhaos has purple hair and a single horn, appears somewhere between a 12-year-old and 15-year-old boy and wears an outfit that could only be described as 'indecent' or perhaps 'scandalous'.
Smile has black hair and appears like an adult man wearing a suit and a mysterious face-hiding mask. The mask's expression warps to reflect Smile's feelings.
Smile tends to treat Xhaos like a kid, and thinks it is adorable when Xhaos throws tantrums as a result.
Lately, the two have been bored due to a lack of torture targets.

~Questionable Allegiance~

The Ice Queen (Grand Lich)

The Ice Queen appears as a robed skeleton with a crown of ice. In her empty eyesockets, there are blue flames.
She is the only currently existing Grand Lich, the highest level of undead, and a master of ice magic, which is a subdivision of water magic.
She has a habit of ridiculing people, and at estimate, about half her words are sarcastic.
With the 'cursed gift' she recently received from the Goddess of Water, she seems to be planning to usurp Astaroth.

Richard (Ice Statue)

A former stealth-based Hero who, by way of a ritual, turned into a monster and the Ice Queen's subordinate.
He seems to be a perfect 'M' to her sarcasm and abusive words, and is head over heels for her.
Due to some (potentially deliberate) carelessness on Astaroth's part, he is currently unable to talk.
He's still learning to use his newly obtained ice powers, but his progress is making leaps and bounds.

Sacrificial Children (Beast-people)

A black-furred, black-eyed, dark-skinned Fennec beast-person boy and a black-furred, black-eyed, pale-skinned ram-and-sheep-hybrid beast-person girl.
The dead eyes, they have in common, as well as the expensive-looking ceremonial garb. Mentally, they have abandoned all will to survive, though their body disagrees.
Though they have been sent from their village as 'sacrifices to the demon king' (Astaroth, presumably), their attitudes differ: the girl seems happy to be useful to the village, whereas the boy seems rather downhearted.

~Side of Light~

Reynald (Human)

A Hero with a 'wild' hairstyle and an almost perpetual energetic expression. When angry, he has a tendency to 'go berserk'; Despite this, he has been chosen as Claiomh Solais's wielder.
It seems he has a crush on Ebstrea.
He appears to know a great deal about video games.
He has trained his body a great deal, having become more flexible than an average human, which allows him to pull off maneuvres a normal human body could not.

Ebstrea (Human)

A Hero with long, flowing locks of hair and a gentle face. When Reynald gets truly angry, she seems to be the only one capable of calming him down; As a result, she is his partner.
It is unknown if she reciprocates Reynald's feelings.
She appears to know a great deal about video games.
Although her abilities with magic are untested, she possesses enough mana to cause a large explosion if it is interfered with.

Claiomh Solais (God-sword)

A sword forged from a part of the Goddess of Light's power. As such, it is sentient, though it generally remains quiet.
Appearance-wise, it is a golden sword with a beautiful hilt like the sun. When pulled out in daylight, the light will always reflect off of it and cause a 'gleam'.
Ability-wise, it can cut through most known materials with ease--a few notable examples include Orichalcum and Adamantium--and allows its wielder to use a number of special skills. Additionally, as it was made by the Goddess of Light, it cuts right through god-based defense and can even harm a god's divinity. Considering this, it is impressive enough that Astaroth's claws can block the sword.
It also possesses the ability to take forcible control of the user's body. Since it is created for fighting, it will know better to do with the user's body than the user will. However, this also carries the risk of eroding the user's soul. The effects of this are unknown, but considering the sword's attitude, it can be assumed they are nothing good.
Personality-wise, the sword appears to have some manner of 'honour', but generally, it seems direct and somewhat blunt. It does not appear to attach value to being worshipped. Although its feelings toward its wielder are unknown, it appears to be protective of his body, at least.
