Jemma's POV:
"Wow! The beach looks amazing." Maddie gasps as she stares into the sea. "The sea is sparkling so pretty!"
"Yeah, for once I actually agree with you, haha." Jane laughs at Maddie.
"Hey! Why you say these kinds of things to me, Jane?" Maddie gives her a sad face.
"Because I can, Mad." Jane smiles, and flips her lime green hair behind her.
"Jane, Maddie, be nice to each other. We're here to have fun. Please don't ruin this for me and for yourselves." I finally say before this gets out of hand.
"Okay, Jemma." Maddie sighs.
"Yeah, sorry Maddie. Sorry, Jemma." Jane apologizes.
"It's fine, girls." I say, and I turn my head to the sparkling sea. "The sea is truly pretty."
Maddie starts walking with all our beach stuff, and Jane follows. They both look around, and Maddie points to one place to the right. Jane nods, and they start walking to that place. Maddie's blue eyes are full of happiness as I smile, letting the summer breeze tangle in my long, red hair. I look up, and close my blue eyes.
About a minute passes, and I feel something hit my head.
"Ow!!!" I yell, falling to the ground.
"OMG! So sorry, ma'm." I look up to see a little girl with bright rainbow colored hair staring at me. "I'm sorry! Please don't hate me! I didn't mean to hit you." She continued to apologize.
"Ow. You're fine, ow." I rub my head. "I'm just a little, shocked. That's all little girl." I smile to the girl.
"Okay, I really didn't mean to hit you." She picked up her beach ball, and bowed to me. "Bye. It won't happen again." the rainbow haired girl left.
"Okay, bye." I stand up. Well, that was a weird start to the day. I rub my head, and start to walk over to Maddie and Jane.
Once over there, I see them arguing about the place to put the beach umbrella.
"Putting it here will make it so the sun won't hit us. You know, the PURPOSE of the umbrella?" Jane pulls the teal colored umbrella to the spot where the sun was blocked.
"Well, JANE. Putting it here is good because it looks nice." Maddie then grabs the umbrella from Jane, and moves it so the sun is now on them.
"MADDIE! You really want us looking like lobsters? Cause that's NOT a nice look!" Jane yells and tried to grab the umbrella from Maddie. Maddie only holds it tighter.
"You should be putting sun screen on then, Jane." Maddie smiles devilishly.
"Maddie!" Jane looks over to me. "Jemma! Thank the lord you're here! Tell Maddie that the purpose to the umbrella is to shade us from the sun, and not to look cool, or whatever weird thing she's going on about."
"It's SO not weird, Jane! Jemma, this angle isn't attractive at all!" Maddie whines.
"Maddie and Jane! No fighting!" I say to them, with some sternness. "Jane, blocking the sun is the umbrellas purpose. So Maddie, I don't care if this looks "not cool". I don't want to be burning all day."
"See, Maddie. Jemma agrees with me!" Jane smirks, and grabs the umbrella to block the sun.
"Whatever, Jane. You and her are better friends. She never sides with me." Maddie looks at the ocean, a sniffle coming out of her.
"Maddie, I don't always side with Jane. You just tend to focus more on looks. Nothing wrong with wanting to make things look cool. Sometimes, however, you need to know when something will make you feel better." I hug her. "You understand me?"
"Not really, but thank you for the hug." She smiles, and we break the hug.
"Yeah, Maddie," Jane stands up, "You always look good. I'm always kinda jealous, so I try and rub into you how better I am at things you're bad at. I'm such a bad friend." Jane looks down.
"Jane. You're so NOT a bad friend. You help me find balance and what I should pay more attention on. Even if it comes out a little, weird." Maddie walks over to Jane, and gives her a huge hug.
"Oof." Jane says as Maddie is strangling her.
"Sorry, hah." Maddie lets go. I smile at them.
"So, you guys ready to set up?" I say with excitement.
"Yeah! I'll lay the towels down." Maddie smiled.
"I'll check the food." Jane opened to cooler.
"I'll check for all the toys we brought." I open the bag right next to me.
Time skip!!!
"Okay girls, we have all our beach toys." I finally say.
